I've never watched a Johnson fight for enjoyment. Aside from the ugly, ugly looking film, his fights are boring as stale bread. Johnson unaccountably managed to make ragdolling and taunting people mind-numbing.

His contemporaries were almost as bad.

similar kinds of fighters. Guys who won for themselves rather than to please the crowd.. Then there were guys like Tyson and Hearns who seemed to fight to score a knockout yet made for great fights.

I see a big lack of John Ruiz in this thread.

Terry Norris perhaps? Don't get me wrong, I love Terry Norris.. but he doesn't produce entertaining fights that much. I think the only entertaining fight of him is with Troy Waters, other than that nothing seems to entertain me. His fight with Daniels was decent, simon brown fights were also decent and so does his fight with Leonard. His style is beautiful and entertaining to watch, but the lack of great fights is what I think he's kinda a boring fighter.

Peak Lewis was a very boring fighter, it's the complete opposite of the Pre-Prime version of him.

Don't be facetious, you know there's far more to being entertaining than being in lots of Gatti-Ward type wars. What thrillers was Mayweather in?

Whitaker's fights with Nelson, Roger, Brazier, Hurtado, Vazquez, McGirt and Haugen are all entertaining for various reasons.
