Dyna your the same person who suggested 'Frazier was feather fisted', I can't take your opinion seriously.
You take it out of context. What I meant to say his that his KO% against opponents above 215 lbs is pretty low. (I'm pretty sure I said "featherfisted against 215lbs+ opponents) He wasn't able to use his power to get a KO on those heavy opponents (most of the time). (It doesn't matter if he hits as hard as 3 Earnie Shavers with a slush of Lennox Lewis or is the second coming of Malignaggi, if you can't translate your power to a KO ratio above 45% you're a "featherfist"). In his case Frazier was "featherfisted against the 215lbs men he fought, by the time he fought those 215 lbs men. When I say a guy is "featherfisted" I generally mean he's just not the best at producing KOs. Against opponents below 200 lbs Frazier was a monstrous KO producer (godly fisted), against opponents between 200-215 lbs Frazier still showed he could really "produce" KOs, but above 215 lbs the "production" wasn't really there anymore. It's all about contexts. For example it's why in my context Vitali is the harder puncher, than Brewster even with Brewster hitting twice as hard, Vitali is a much better "KO producer" And excuse me if my post is really ugly to read.
No...I don't mean the above Nigerian tomato can, nor Deontay Wilder (who isn't a champion...yet, lol)
****, I meant Brown Bomber, instead of bronze. atsch Names are so equal, I typed bronze instead of brown
It was an entertaining fight. Vitali gets more credit for the entertainment value of it, but he didnt come out the winner. Notice in the line prior to the quoted line, I capitalized WIN. Most entertaining in a loss would be Vitali. Wlad was also very entertaining vs Brewster in their first fight before he succumbed to the poison.:deal
The real Bomber never medalled. He very well could have, though. He was still an amateur as of the '32 Games, and making some noise already. He in fact lost his debut to Johnny Miletich who shortly thereafter qualified for the U.S. team at light heavyweight but got eliminated in the quarterfinals. Had Louis gone in Miletich's stead, who knows how well he would've fared against the Irishman, Italian, and South African that would've stood in his way. (the Irishman being the one to bounce Miletich, beaten by the Italian who in turn surrendered gold to Carstens). Had the young Louis been selected to represent his country at heavyweight, the biggest obstacle would've been the final match against this Argentine: http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=12460&cat=boxer If circumstances had been different and teen Joe had somehow caught the attention of the selection committee in time, I like to believe it would've meant one more immortal feat to ice the already sweet cake.
:admin Spinks was no better than Adamek!? WTF! Ali is the most boring in history. the man was real ****ing dull. i had an Ali marathon about two months ago and was reminded of it. there are some gems here and there, but mostly dull. and to say the Ali win over Foreman is the the most entertaining WIN, is a complete tragedy. Foreman was the one doing all the work whilst Ali sat back hoping for him to tire. it was a great win for Ali, but the entertainment came from Foreman. Marciano's win over a shot Louis was good to watch, but it is nowhere near the exciting wins these guys produced... Lewis over Mercer Holyfield over Bowe 1 Ibeabuchi over Tua Frazier over Ali 1 Ali over Frazier 3 Schmelling over Louis 1 Brewster over Wlad 1 Rahman over Sanders Marciano over Charles and so on, and so on...
cassius clay of course he embodied the word entertainment inside and outside of the ring which is why he will be remembered a thousand years from now and the others wont [yt]Vnzofi_QltI[/yt]
Those are highlights you dont go to a fight and watch the highlights those are the best parts any fighter can look interesting in highlights cause its there best moments...
You are missing the point, at the time Ali was around it was exciting entertaining beyond the level of anyone since or before it dwarfs Tyson. Tyson was exciting for a while yes but Ali had people in places you've never heard of tuning in. The question is entertaining and as an overall package inside and outside the ring has to be Ali.
