Mayweather-Corrales was close to a pick-em. Floyd was actually a slight betting favorite.

A 13-10 favorite according to this:

A 7-5 favorite according to these articles:

Jones-Toney was similar in being a one-sided fight and close to a pick ‘em with the oddsmakers.

Toney was the slight favorite in this case, 6-5 odds according to boxrec https://boxrec.com/wiki/index.php/James_Toney_vs._Roy_Jones_Jr.

    Hi Joey.
As previous posters have said , Liston 1 was not as one sided as people think, as to Liston 2, by dint of the result of fight No1, the second encounter really can't be classed as an upset, some pundits clung to Liston retiring because of the shoulder problem, while some saw Liston as an old and shot fighter, so a question mark hovers over the " upset " in fight 2 , at least for me.
    stay safe buddy .
    Mike.

Hearns/Duran, although stylistically it really wasn't a surprise.

Hearns was around a 3-1 favorite.

The Vince Phillips thread just reminded me he took part in 2 big upsets.

I imagine his win over Tszyu already mentioned but probably not his loss to Terron Millet.

Vince had beaten Kostau in style, stopped Mickey Ward on cuts in 3, dominated still dangerous Freddie Pendelton in 10 before completely destroying Alfonso Sanchez in 1.

Unknown Millet looked another routine defense yet shocked Phillips for one-sided 5 round ko.

It is funny how nowadays those fights are not considered like "upsets" by most; but it is true that back then Holy and Foreman were actually the underdogs.

Interesting that Hopkins has 3 different fights that qualify.

In 36 rounds against Tito, Tarver, and Pavlik, Hopkins won about 32-33 of them.

Completely right. Just listen to the shock in his voice when he says Down goes Frazier:
