Pacfan, the only person on this forum who rivals Joecaldragon in terms of being pathetic is you. Go check out your ridiclous thread about Cotto and Hatton. Your sorry ass theory got buried even deeper. If I'm so pathetic, why do you keep following me around and harrassing me?

I provide counter points. Don't be made I expose missinformed opinions. I don't tear into anyone unless they give me a reason. Hell, I didn't say anything negative about Joecaldragon in this thread until he started hurling personal attacks my way.

Of course I am an alias, my passport doesn't say 'Joecaldragon'. Well done for working that out.

He's a 5 weight belt holder, NOT a 5 weight champion - there's a difference. In conditions even 15 years ago there's every chance he wouldn't be able to achieve it.

He failed to even beat a top 5 fighter at 140, and he never beat a fighter that had beat 2 top 10 fighters at 147. I REFUSE to call him a champion at those weights.

Reg, you started this whole nonsense with your arrogant dismissal and scathing criticism of my opinion, so don't pretend I suddenly started showering you with abuse. Need I remind you that it was you who started talking about "kicking the ****" out of me, you sorry excuse for a man. 9 pages into debate on the most overrated fighter, and you still haven't ventured one solid proposal of your own for an answer. You clearly have no knowledge or opinions of your own, and just enjoy abusing those of others. Enough.

Who cares what you refuse to do. You're not a authority on boxing. The fact is PBF was the Ring and linear champ at 147:deal When you make dumbass posts like these you lose credibility. PBF didn't fight the best at 140 because Hatton the linear champ refused to fight him twice not to mention Gatti was top 5 he was the WBC titleholder.

Where did anyone say he wasn't a great boxer though?? He is. He would be ranked around 50-70 in my all-time great list. But I hear people saying often he is top 5 or top 10 of all-time. Therefore: overrated. You may disagree, but it's not that hard to understand.

And I'm bothered about your opinion then, 'Pimp' :patsch

Unless Miguel Cotto and Evangelista Cotto have learned BigReg's powers of telepathy, it was Evangelista Cotto who jumped up on the apron and forced the ref to stop it, whether Miguel was relieved or not at that doesn't alter that fact.

And neither are you. Or even Ring Magazine, for that matter. It's not even about fighting the best at 140, he fought no-one. At all. And why the **** would Hatton refuse a fight with PBF at 140 and take the same fight at a weight-class everyone (including Hatton) knows he can't function well at? I'd like ANY proof on this. And even if you do obtain proof, it's irrelevant - just because you are avoided doesn't make you the champ. You WIN the fight, then you become champ.

By the way.....being the lineal champion doesn't mean you aren't a paper champion. *cough*Erdei*cough*

Oh yeah, I take it you couldn't proof I was an Oscarsexual, huh? :yep

Cotto: The first part of the fight we knew we were winning, but then I began to feel the effect of the punches and started to feel a little worn out, and I realized it's better to have good health, there's more days ahead, I still have many years left in boxing and decided to put a knee down.
Host: Ok, in your case as a boxer and champion I imagine that decision was very hard to make because you're thinking 'I'm the champion with no losses' .. was it you that made the decision or your corner?
Cotto: I was the one that made it, my family was there, my children were present and I was thinking more about them rather than the beating I was getting.

This is straight from Cotto's mouth. No telepathy needed.

Brittley Quitschko. He had some decent wins over fringe contenders, a couple wins over fat contenders, and LOST to an old, undertrained Lewis. Yeah, sure he gave a tough fight for 6 rounds. So what? Ray Mercer gave a PRIME Lewis hell of the full fight. And arguably won or drew. Quitali also lost against the 2nd best fighter he faced, little Chris Byrd.

"Bu, bu, but...he was winning when he lost!!"

Sorry fanboys, but being durable is part of being a boxer/athlete.

Quite a few people here actually have said he's a top 15 HW all-time.

    :rofl

On boxing forums, another overrated fighter is Aaron Pryor.

I am in no way at all putting the great Hawk in the same category as Chris Byrd's son, Vitali.

Pryor was indeed a terrific fighter with some meaningful wins.

But on the forums, my god, people sure like to overrate him.

In the last couple weeks, I've heard several people say he's a top 15 fighter all-time  , others say he'd beat a prime De La Hoya inside of 3 rounds, prime Hatton in a round. And then there's the old "Sugar Ray Leonard was terrified of him" crap thanks to Legendary Nights.

People on forums criticize fighters like De La Fishnet, Mayweather, and Hopkins all day long, because they say their best wins were against guys coming up in weight, past-their-prime fighters, or B/B+ level fighters.

Yeah, Antonio Cervantes was definitely in his prime.

So was Alexis Arguello. He peaked at 140 and didn't have a lot of mileage on him.

Mayweather first fought at light-welterweight in 2004, v "Chop Chop" Corley. Kostya Tszyu was IBF champion at the time, and was #3 p4p. Chop-Chop Corley was about #839. Despite the Floyd Fanboys excuses about the tv networks, they should've made a huge effort to make the Tszyu fight for Floyd's resume and legacy. It could've been worked out, as the big fights always are. But Tszyu was viewed as too much of a risk by PBF I reckon, as Margarito is now.

HBO and Showtime exclusive fighters hardly ever work together. Lewis-Tyson generated like enough money to sink the national debt, so there's more motivation for them to work together. I can't think of any other instances when exclusive HBO and Showtime fighters worked together.

I don't blame either Mayweather or Tszyu that the fight never took place, but it doesn't do much for Mayweather's legacy regardless. Some fights never materialize. It happens. Tszyu was injured for much of 2003 and 2004, then looked great against Mitchell in November 2004, and lost a big money fight against Hatton.

Just to let you know, I've just read your "kick the **** out of you" comment a bit back, I don't respond to people who lower themselves to that sort of pitiable, pathetic behaviour on an internet forum.
