How would you score a round where the dominant boxer in a round suffers a flash knockdown halfway through the round after dominating but gets straight back up after an 8 count and continues to dominate his opponent for the rest of the round.

Dont tell me you would give it to the boxer that was dominated for the round by a margin of 10-8 ?

More evidence for my file. Nothing says "poorly written" quite like lazy spelling mistakes of similar words with very different meanings. At least you didn't commit the old "lose"/"loose" **** up.

As per the example I gave (1st two rounds of Chacon-Boza II) you give a 10-9 to the fighter who scored the knockdown.

RoosterC, prepared to comment on how others score fights but not on how he would score fights.

  11. I don't see a problem with scoring even rounds, it's rare that there's more than one or two in any particular fight anyway.

Usually there's something from one man or the other that catches your eye and makes you score the round in his favour, regardless of how close the rest of the round appears to be.

By scoring even rounds the results would be more consistant, if judges think they must score a round 10-9, one judge could score a very close round 10-9 one way and another judge the same round 10-9 the other way, it can lead to a false result, results of fights would be far more consistant if even rounds are scored when the round was evenly matched.

Look at the example of Lewis v Holyfield that i gave, judges and punters scorecards were all over the shop, me and a friend of mine watched the fight independantly scored every single round of a controversial fight the same, because we happened to score what we thought were even rounds as even and when a boxer won a round, they won a round, that is why scoring even rounds will overall give a fairer and more consistant result.

So its settled then when a round is even it should be scored even, the majority of people dont have a scooby.

I'd guess that he scores them the right way, unlike yourself.

Judges are paid to decide which man wins a round.

Giving every close round even will, well it'll lead to frankenfrank type scoring were only kd's can win a fight and every non-knockdown fight is scored to the aggressor.

Who wants to live in a world where frankenfrank is right?
