Experienced to at least some extent, yes. You don't have to have Golden Glove titles or have turned pro to KSAB, but having at least sparred at some point in your life does lend credibility the uninitiated just don't and can't have.
I have always thought that the dead give-a-way that someone who DKSAB is when as soon as you mention that you are a HARDCORE Boxing fan....the first thing they mention is how much they hate Mayweather or when the Pac/Floyd going to happen. That a DEAD GIVE-A-WAY!!! Especially after the year we just had in the sport...to talk about two Mofos who ain't even fighting each other and not mention the Mares upset KO, Rigo's schooling of Donaire, Bradley/Ruslan or Maidana/Broner? DKSAB
Truth. F**k Mayweather vs. Pacquiao, I'm glad it never happened as it gives us a litmus test for screening out the idiots. (people who can't discuss boxing even five minutes without bringing up either that or worse: "so who is the heavyweight champ these days? :huh It was Tyson for a while, right? Now some Russian dude named Clit-Scope?")
I agree, I feel the reason Roger says this is because most people are wowed by speed & power. Speed, Powe & basic skills will get you only so far , when put up against a boxer with better craft, he can nutralize it. He is not impressed by speed & power. Boxing is a craft & not a lot of fighters can perfect it.
Yes, you do digress. How many times do Pac hit Cheato? He's an offense fight, he going to get hit. YDKSAB!
Nowadays more people dont know about boxing. Boxing is dying. All we have are May, Pac, Marquez, GGG, Martinez, Bradley, Prov, Khan, ward, Rig, Maidana, Donaire to root for and most of them are not even great boxers. Its all we have. I miss the good ole days.
IMO, the problems stems from persons who think they are true fans of this beautiful sport when in fact they are simply fans of a particular fighter. They become extreme fanatics of said particular fighter, that in their feeble and easily manipulated minds, their fighters style and approach to boxing is the only correct way and that all else is rubbish. So when these delusional rabid followers of a particular fighter calls themselves true boxing, fans, when reality they are just casual fanboys, their distorted and biased opinions get thrown and mixed in with the opinions of true boxing aficionados. The end result is the lowering, by quite a few levels, the collective IQ of boxing's fanbase. Long live Boxing! Que viva el Box!
when you`re in a losing argument against a fellow ESB poster, just type in DKSAB as a reply and you`ll immediately feel vindicated.....:good
