The common mistake about Lesnar was that he was a good wrestler AND a massive guy, in reality he was a good because BECAUSE he's a massive guy.

Lesnar isnt the second coming of Karelin, he doesnt have great technical skills to go with his size and would likely not have achieved much at amature level were he Cains size.

Lesnar is basically the Jess Willard of MMA I posted that before the Cain fight and his fanboys laughed at me on here. Well, guess who is laughing now?

    :lol::lol::lol::lol:

  6. Karelin = GOAT at the top end of international wrestling
Lesnar = Good fighter at a college level

NCAA means jack all when it comes to wrestling.

Oh come on. I know **** all about wrestling and was expecting Brock to be really good at it because of all the **** I heard. CV was much better than him. Basically BL's strong suit is wrestling I mean his stand up is mechanical and he's not a top level BJJ guy so he is basically a wrestler. So to then see him get kicked in his clunge by a smaller guy wrestle-wise. I mean...what else can one conclude.

He isn't the worlds best wrestler but he is good enough, the problem is he pushes when he punches, leans forward and has no concept of skills over power.

He is basically a unintelligent fighter.

So you are saying he isn't the greatest wrestler, in my opinion the greatest athlete, of all time, so he is ****?

Jesus christ, he's not Karelin? No ****?

It certainly did not make his wrestling look good though, he was bending over at the waist for the takedowns, which is just not how you go about taking people down.

Cain is a good wrestler yet Brock took him down. He couldn't keep him down or work around his core strength to be successful.

Brocks wins have been over wrestlers like Carwin, Couture and even Mir wrestler as a youngster.

Brock was actually letting rip with his strikes. His probably still is defence. His sucks off his back and he sucks when taking shots. Dishing it out ain't Brocks problem.

Cain is smaller but he is a wrestler and wrestlers spend their whole life learning to manipulate another guys anatomy and physicality. Cain used his advantages in speed, agility and co-ordination to tame the beast that is brock.

Well he was able to absolutely control Mir on the ground. Mir isn't a great wrestler, but he is a great grappler....and he couldn't do **** on the ground.

You don't get to be a D1 national wrestling champion if you are just "good". D1 NCAA is the highest level of folk style wrestling.

There is a serious difference between wresting and cage fighting. In wrestling the person getting rushed has to meet aggression with aggression. In the cage if you can get on the cage and just wait while the other guy burns up energy. Velasquez might be toast on an open mat with a ref forcing him back into the circle. In a cage? He can wait that beast out.

Decent point, there is a huge difference in range as well, you are rarely going to see handfighting like in wrestling.

Even with the differences though, Cain got up from multiple takedown attempts that wouldn't have scored in a wrestling match, and took Brock straight down into the refferees position for what would have scored.
