the SFW devision is that bad that the ring recognized no.1 is a 38 year old african who's notoriety stems from getting ko'd by berrara in 2 rounds years ago. ricky burns is another one of warrens paper champions till he proves otherwise, perhaps if he beats some1 like jason litzau he'll receive some recognition as a world class fighter
The only reason Ricky Burns is a 'world champion' :yep is because by way of it being such a joke, we have a situation where being the best fighter in Scotland also means you deserve a top 3 world ranking. Its THAT bad! With that said...Ricky Burns the world champion:yep isnt even being allowed to fight guys better than anyone at scottish level. What does that tell you?
Ffs, seriously......Billy dosent want Laryea, neither does Burns. Page 5 ? Page 6 ? Boxing fans/followers ? Any friend follower or foe will see or know or not be surprised at the current scenario.......... Is Foster Jr better than Laryea.....on paper yes, i think so, am sure Billy etc would agree. BUT that aint how it goes....it goes like this.... Win a title.....defend a few times to lesser opponents (promoter dependant).......no ? I type this as i watch Foster in the 1st round Vs the boy from Belgium. If Foster Jr takes 12 rounds, will we/you think less ? I wont.........he is a great fighter, well rounded. As many have said im sure......Burns is given/told/handed what is expected to be.......easy wins.......then he gets to step up.......again. Promoters = Solidify Investment. Does Laryea and his last opponent add up to much ? Not really most will say and i do also, though am sure its helped him (Burns)............tell me it hasnt. At the worst, he is learning to deal with the sniping and questions over lesser opponents lol. Its one thing trying to get a rise out of a trainer of the fighter that you know will look at your post and another thing just being a clueless *****. The reason Burns is the champion is because he beat the best there is at his weight (which was a very good world class fighter) no more no less:deal
