Look at the way they hyped Mitchell as if he was going to be the next Heavyweight Champion, he got exposed by Banks. It's a sad era for American Heavyweights with such an illustrious history.

It's all round ****, the saddest excuse I've seen for a **** fight was the pinky toe excuse which he also showed no proof.

Fk even Tony Tucker threw punches with his broken hand at Tyson.

BTW Ali would rather die then lose not run like a coward

That's just wounded pride & bravado talking mate.

Yeah he deserves what he got for the Toe excuse. If you understood their specific styles then you would realize that it would not be the barn burner that it was predicted to be. Even Emmanuel Steward noted this.

Ibragimov-Klitschko takes the cake for the worst Heavyweight Title fight though.

Not only realised it wouldn't be a barn burner but that Haye had absolutely no chance of winning.

I used to think differently but after his first few fights at heavy it was clear that even without the weight cut he want going to be much better at the highest weight.

It was Dundee shoving it under his nose, Ali never asked.

Doesn't make it better, but Ali doesn't deserve hate for it.

Right now, this thread is about Ali's use of banned substances to win a fight he was about to lose. If you want to talk about Foreman or someone else's accidental headbutt or low blow etc start another thread.

So I've read every post of this thread and I'm still not sure if we should ban boxers for drinkining coffee, thoughts? And let's say it's coffee without milk/cream but with sugar, thoughts? Should there be retrospective investigations on such substance abuse?

Funny how your equating coffee with something like smelling salts which brings someone back from the brink of unconsciousness instantly. Smelling salts was a banned substance in the cooper-ali fight and ali's corner cheated and he should have lost that fight with a DQ.

You can clearly see Gil Clancy give Foreman smelling salts after the 4th round in the Lyle fight, wonder why it wasnt such a big deal in that bout???
