Ali didn't move his head and body quick enough to avoid punches? Once again, you show you don't have a clue what you're talking about.

Oh, and the Bowe of the first Holyfield fight would rough Wlad up on the inside.

No...I have enough on my plate already to bother with more mythical H2H matchups. Another time perhaps.

Not a big one-punch hitter, but a very good overall puncher. You only have to watch him to understand that.

You're ignoring the fact that several of those losses at HW came waaay after his best days.

    You say that...

    ...And then you say this.

Nice wordplay there...ran. Yeah, Holyfield did have an iron chin. So did Ali.

Of course you would believe Holyfield would beat Ali, but then again you think Lamon Brewster would too.
At least the Holyfield pick is not completely outrageous.

    IF he'd have landed clean.

Cooper catching a young Clay, doesn't tell us that Wlad would have caught a prime Ali.

Styles and circumstances dictate the outcome of a fight.

Ali always got hit? Of course he did. He was a boxer.

Haye can't have better reflexes than Ali. Haye got floored by Mormeck and knocked out by ancient Thompson.

    Cooper caught a young Clay.

We're debating a 25 year old prime Ali, against Wlad at his best.

    You're boring me now.

Why couldn't Wlad take out Haye?

Oh yes, I remember, because Haye is superior to Ali, right?

    :good

This fool thinks that Ali's footwork was used to run away.

Ali stops Wlad on cuts. Wlad has thin paper skin that cuts way to easy.

    Elroy,

How many times was he hit clean and staggered or dropped in his prime?

    Of course they are.

Look at Wlad's shot selection in most of his fights. No combinations, double hooks, uppercuts, body punches etc.

He would have been able to catch a prime Ali flush, even though he couldn't land on Haye, who was on the ropes?

Apart from speed, reflexes and footwork.

Only a fool would argue that Ali was better in the 70's. Ali was never outboxed in his prime.

    Shut up you fool!

He got knocked out by Puritty, Sanders and Brewster, went life and death with a limited Peter, and fought cautiously against a chinny Haye, even though he said he was desperate to make him his 50th K.O. victim.

Ali's footwork would have bamboozled him.

I can't even be bothered to reply to the above nonsense.

Like how he beat Sanders, Puritty and Brewster? Like his master classes against Peter, Haye and Povetkin etc?

    No it doesn't.

    You've just contradicted yourself.

Just because a fast former LHW in Jones gave a young Clay a good fight, that doesn't mean that Wlad would have done.

Frazier was a nightmare for Ali. Foreman was a monster who crushed Frazier. Most people assumed that Foreman would crush Ali.

    We know what happened.

    Styles make fights.

Again, Wlad may have crushed Jones etc, but that doesn't mean he would have beaten Ali.

Yeah, it's easy to say that. You don't know how he'd react fighting two scheduled 15 round fights in one month, especially against a motivated southpaw in his second fight.

How much trouble would Mildenburger have caused Ali, if he was only fighting twice per year, with a ten week camp?

Of course he would. Again, just like how he knocked out Puritty, Sanders and Brewster.

No intelligent person, with a good understanding of the sport, refers to great footwork as running.

He didn't have superior reflexes to Ali, that's laughable. He got tagged way too easy, trying to fight in the style of Roy Jones.

Their hand speed isn't comparable either. Because Haye never threw combinations like Ali did.

Believe what you want. I'm yet to see any sort of evidence to suggest that Haye could take out a 25 year old Ali.

I've heard it all before. There's no real evidence to support your theory.

    WTF are you talking about?

    Embarrassing.

You need to look these two words up in a dictionary, and read their definitions.

Ha! How about the mythical monsters, that are Sanders and Puritty?

Unfortunately for you, there's been a mix up, and you're sitting a different test.

    Your book is now worthless.

    You're out of your depth.

You're going to have to go the toilet and press the fire alarm, to try and save your sorry ass.

    to quote Elroy:

"Lamon Brewster, Corrie Sanders, would knock out every singe one of Ali's "60's" opponents and Muhammad Ali as well."

This quote is worthy of the great "bailey" who opined that Sergey Dzindiruk would dominate Thomas Hearns.

    poor Elroy.

You are entitled to that opinion, we are entitled to ours. I will say that Wlad would be one of Ali's best opponents and has the capacity to give him a good fight. I don't think Wlad wins, but whatever.
I don't think the fight would be very entertaining...it could even be a stinker.

From my side, I think after 75 pages, this topic has pretty much run it's course. We're just spinning wheels now and everything that can be said, has been said. I'm personally in no mood to go over the same old arguments again and again.

    It's been fun though.

    Elroy, ask yourself this:

What will Haye be remembered for in 10 years other than stinking up the joint against Valuev and Wlad, and nearly killing British boxing against Harrison?

What will Povetkin be remembered for in 10 years other than losing to Wlad in one of the worst HW championship fights ever, knocking out an old, shot Rahman, and going life and death with a blown up CW in Huck?
