There have been plenty of fighters that have done better at CW and HW than Haye. Holyfield is just one of them. Hell, there have been fighters that have done better at LHW and HW than Haye has at CW and HW. Moorer and Spinks both moved up from LHW to HW and beat the main guy there (Holyfield and Holmes, respectively).

Let's look at some of those fighters, shall we?

Rahman: Old, shot, and fat. Nobody would even know who he is if he hadn't knocked out an unprepared Lewis with a lucky home run punch. Lewis kicked his ass in the rematch.

Huck: Blown up CW. Went life and death with him.

Chagaev: Wlad's leftovers.

Boswell: Was 42 years old. Beat ancient McCall and Firtha. Was knocked out by journeyman Jameel McCline.

In one of the worst HW championship fights I have ever seen.

 

I donot believe that Ali would have had more foot speed by a mile. He would have to have better foot speed by a mile because of the size diferential. I do not see anything wrong with Vlads skill level (perhaps we define skill level differently) He does what he does to win and he does it very well, Ali would half to be more aggressive which is not what he did well. Ali did have a good chin. Now Ali was a better Boxer than David Haye but was any better athlete with Quickness etc or Byrd?

 

I like how you only reply to the Chagaev part, because you KNOW you can't refute my points about Rahman, Huck, and Boswell.

Haye's had more fights he's pulled out of than he has actual fights at HW.

Age 36 Ali lost to Leon Spinks whose record was 6-0-1 going into A TITLE FIGHT ( and you still think boxing is worse now than what it used to be? ). Here is a brief list of Spinks' professional opponents; Bob Smith 7-7-1, Jerry McIntyre 1-2-0, Bruce Scott 10-37-1 and Leon had a draw vs Scott LeDoux.

Age 36 Wladimir Klitschko outboxed David Haye. Call me crazy but I think Haye was a far more formidable and credible opponent than the usurper noted above.
