    Quarry was just out of his league, to be quite honest. He got beat twice by ali, the 2nd fight even more convincingly because there was no cut factor. He would have just recieved another beating and a 3rd loss to ali.

    I remember being surprised when reading in Hauser's Ali bio that a third Quarry fight in 1974 was even considered. Then I found out what a great year Jerry had in 1973 and how he was riding high & very popular with the fans. This fight would've been a decent money maker during the first six months of 1974, but Ali would've beaten Quarry handily. As we all know, Joe Frazier burst Jerry's bubble that June, putting an end to Quarry's run.
