Usyk’s great at doing feints and that’s something Ali struggled with as evident in the Frazier and Norton bouts. He's also really good defensively when it comes to getting out of tight situations. I could see Usyk possibly winning this though I wouldn’t favor him over Ali.
Both Ali and Usyk have been shown to be masters at adjusting; I think the idea that Ali schools Usyk isn't accurate. Realistically, it's an extremely close fight, and I think Usyk might get the better of Ali a lot more often than people think. Ali was very inexperienced against southpaws, IIRC only fighting 3 or 2? And he did show a bit of trouble early on, against southpaws who were technically inferior to Usyk. Say what you want about short paths to undisputed/unified, but Usyk's short path to Unified was much more impressive then say, Haney's path to undisputed.
Usyk didn't live in a country where they made him use seperate drinking fountains and toilets and made him go to a seperate school based on his race. Ali made a smart move, he learnt from the mistakes Louis made. Why risk your life fighting for a country where you are treated like a second class citizen. That is not to say I agree with Ali's crazy Nation of Islam beliefs.
Louis did what he had to do to get a title shot. Thanks to Johnson, the color line was at its best during that time, ruining title shots of many fantastic fighters, including Jack Blackburn, who explicitly told Louis to keep his cool and never ever cheer after beating a white fighter. Ali lived and fought in a different era. Not a perfect one, but definitely different.
Clearly you don't know what you are talking about lol. Ali fought bigger guys. So you are telling me Liston, Norton, Shavers, Foreman, Lyle, Quarry and Holmes were midgets lol. That's just a few of his opponents.
