Problem is, the HOFers Ali beat were only HOFers because they fought him and gave him a good fight. The Ali illusion. If he was as amazing as everyone makes out he wouldn't have relied on so many gift decisions, been beaten and knocked down so many times.

archie moore - was he famous because he fought ali? no. he was famous for what he did before ali. to claim he became famous for facing ali is terminally stupid, its clearly the other way round.

Floyd patts - famous simply for fighting ali? NO, famous for setting historical record as youngest undisputed hw champ.

frazier? no gained his status for unifying plus Olympic gold plus excellent defence run AND plus beating the last undisputed champ ali amongst all the other world champs.

foreman ? no, not losing to ali (which would be stupid, claiming atg/hof status for LOSING a fight, if that's what you mean then perhaps you mean that in a klit**** sense? no geroge is famous for his crushing Olympics, undisputed title and defence run plus an awesome aged comeback, again a historical precedent.

Liston? for losing twice to Ali? NO, no one gets in a HoF for getting beat. that's not a claim, its what he did before that the counts.

Bob Foster? - no hes not famous because he fought ali - hes famous for being one of the best LHWs in history, arguably the best. Unless you think that LHW means nothing of course.
