Mundine is going for a title at 154, his 3 division dream is still alive!

I think most people on here don't doubt Anthony's talent. The issue is he talks a big talk yet never backs it up by continually taking what most people perceive to be easy fights (and yes, we all know he has stepped up a few times). Now every fighter takes an easy fight at times to stay busy or hold onto their ranking but these fighters also don't proclaim they'll be fighting the best in the sport and/or the best athlete in the world. By all reports Anthony could have fought austin Trout but chose not to. Had he fought him - and won - he could well be the guy fighting Alvarez in the USA. Until he takes on a real champion in his prime he will be discredited by many. sadly, he's getting old and he should have done that 5 or so years ago instead of fighting way past their prime fighters like Ellis, Waters, Taylor & Hamden.
Now Mundine supporters could say the same of Geale if you were really a cynic but he did go to Germany and twice win a title against the odds. I have no doubt he is trying to get a big fight but its all very political at his level and without a title he won't get them. He's just not that attractive to them without a belt - he is polite, humble and doesn't talk trash plus he's not a KO guy like a Golovkin etc.
