It was good move to not fight Kessler again as the result would be similar or the same. Better to look for an easy road to another belt and maybe even the real thing.
I don't think anyone faults Mundine for not fighting Kessler. They have already met once and that is enough. However, I think the criticism is fair concerning his lack of opposition. He doesn't have to meet Kessler, but there are plenty of good fighters he can meet. I know he just met Soliman and Green. Both are good fighters. Now, however, is the time to move on. If he moves to MW he does NOT imo. need a warm-up a la this 'kim'-character noone has ever heard of. Mundine may find it unfair because Codrington, Ward, Direll etc. all feed on unknowns. The difference however is that they are green prospects and Mundine is a recogniced top 4 fighter. Therefore there has to be higher expectations of Mundine than these no-hopers that that popo up out of nowhere. Imo. should Mundine ONLY fight top 15 fighters heron in. There is really no need to go much below that. I think Mundine is a top 5 at MW (if he goes there) and as such I don't see the need for all these time-wasting fights in between.
Boxrec currently rates Kim 20/ 693 at light heavyweight. That certainly suggests he is far from a tomato can
boxrec aint good for rankings, people with lesser opposition can get ranked higher by fighting duds with like 14-0 records and so on.... i would trust the ring magazine more then anything else ....
Does anybody know at what weight Mundine will fight Crazy Kim at? Kim fights betweem LMW and LHW......I think it will be at MW but does anybody know for sure?
sorry Ajay you heap **** on calzaghes record and opponents but praise a bloke who fights these type of fights and won his bogus world titles against great fighters like Antwun Echols and Sam Soliman sorry mate but you have well and truly entered nuthugger territory .he has been boxing 8 years now the no amateur career excuse dont wash anymore.
