Looking at this from a pulling power point of view Garth will have little following without choc :deal

Whats Garths next option....fight Hamden, Sherro or the like....he will be lucky to get $15,000 unless he starts promoting.

Choc can use his cash to get the winner of Trout v Alverez to AUST for the World title....I know what I would do :bart

I'm not concerned about saying the Wood fight was a big mistake and a remtach would be all wrong again....its easy to say as it is.

Why should a guy who wins by an early KO grant the loser a rematch and accept less than 50%?

Where's the sense in that, particularly when they know how much the Mundines coverted the fact that no Australian had ever beaten them.

HAD now being the operative word, and make no mistake, Mundine WILL want to try and put that right with a revenge win.

I know what you are saying but in realitly Ashley's right, Woods will be lucky to generate $15k fighting any of the top 10 Aussies.

We know BOXA are gready, they'll let the fight go if need be.

Woods will get beat by any of the top 10 aussies and then he's barginning chips are gone, Mundine will fight him again in 18 months and give him a semi decent pay day at best.

Woods need to be smart in these negotations and not let a massive pay day slip through he's fingers, If someone else gets to Mundine first and does the same the pay day is gone and Mundine retires.

Woods needs Mundine more than ever at the moment to secure he's financial future.

Garth will be fighting for $10,000 to $15,000 purse in his next fight (unless he starts promoting) so IMO he should be a bit smarter about making another $500,000 V Choc

Ced, if the same team can come up with $200,000 for Chris John to fight Billy Dibb then i will belive what you are saying but i wont hold my breath waiting old m8.

He has a kinda good team but what are they good at? They are good at getting him easy fights and padding his record, and they do have good managment skills with respect to being experianced in that feild.

As for the used and abused, mmm these are the same people who handled Paul Briggs vs Danny Green and should be ashamed of themselfs for allowing such a fight to take place. The same people that ignored the advice of Jeff Fenech to pull Paul Briggs out and the same people responsible for the betting farce m8.

I smell bullsht all over these guys. The first decent aussie boxer to face woods will defeat him. Mundine can wait it out till then because once Woods looses to a local the intrest in Mundine vs Woods II will be gone and as such will be Woods cash cow, he will never make the same amount of money fighting anyone else other than Mundine.

And if you think he will do what Green is doing, it just wont work, he is a limited fighter with limited skills that wont go very far, thats the honest hard cold truth, sad but true.

    Khoder "The fights off"

Mundine "We want the fight at M/W, but we'll pay you an extra $100,000"

Wood "So you'll pay me an extra $100,000 to KO you at M/W?? No worries"

    Khoder "Hahahaha"

    Mundine "Hahahaha"

    Wood "Huh?"

i think he was planning to rematch Siaca at MW as his first MW IBO title defence.
    http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=014602&cat=boxer
seems a bit strange Siaca dropped from 176 to 159 LHW to MW in March 2009 when Mundine won his IBO title in May 2009.

There's good money to be had in Wood v Mundine II - that alone will have Khoder's attention, and Mundine will want to avenge the loss, don't discount that for a second.

So Wood v Mundine is a WIN for all concerned, and it WILL happen.

Strategically, it's not the best fight for Mundine:

1/ Unlikely to be at the weight Mundine claims to want to campaign at.
2/ Against a guy who was confident last time and will be even more confident this time.
3/ An opponent very likely to open his head up by whatever roughhouse means that might occur - and it'll be as rough as the referee allows it to be.
4/ Most importantly, if he loses to the relative nobody that Wood is, it'll be gloves on the hook time.

Having said all that. If Mundine fights a smarter fight, which after-all will be for his career, so there'll be no lack of motivation, he should be able to win IMO.

Mundine looked terrible in their first fight for whatever reason, if he can at least get back to the Geale fight standard he shld be all over Woods.

Mundine looked really slow in their first encounter, it's like he was on ritalin or something.

I agree, if they could pull it off. But I believe a combination of Khoder's greed and Mundine's want to avenge the loss will see Wood II next on the horizon.

The trouble for the Mundine camp is it amounts to Choc fighting for his career. The upside is, if you are fighting for your career, you'd prefer it was against a relative nobody with little experience such as Wood.
