I don't see him working as a problem - it's not as if he is sat behind a desk all the time or on a till.

A binman would be on circa £20k - a nice little pension fund if he needs to retire for some reason.

He might as well give it a go.

He has nothing to lose and he might get a good payday for once. Not like anybody is expecting anything from him against these guys.

I really like Rendall and hope he does well for himself. I think he is giving up the binman job before he starts training for his next fight. He needs a couple more european standard fights and hopefully a crack at Dunne and the other top British fighters, maybe in 4/5 fights he could go for an eliminater but I would hope he waits awhile for his progression to cope with the elite of the division. I still doubt he quite has what it takes to win a world belt but all it takes is one great performance.

I don't know the background toward his EBU title win, but would be surprised if he was anything other than a late replacement - because his previous performances (or calibre of opponent) didn't really suggest he was going places anytime soon.

I bet if he get's a shot it'll be for the 'regular' WBA title. Molitor and Caballero are fighting in a WBA/IBF unification so the winner of that will become WBA 'super' champ and I guess the Rendall will get a shot to fight for the 'regular' title. Rendall's ranked at 6 by the WBA and Jhonny Gonzales and Rafa Marquez are ranked at 2 and 3 but I doubt they'll want to fight for that title.

I doubt Frank would put Rendall in with Rafa anyway, unless the marbles have disappeared.

what would it do to his career to fighty marquez and lose?

certainly increase his exposure to the fight public and maybe bring bigger pay days.

If its unlikely he'll win a world version kinda makes no sense keep fighting bums like the last guy, does nothing for his career long term imo.

Vasquez, Marquez finish him in a couple of rounds. Lopez would probably get him out of there in 1. Caballero in 3/4. Molitor probably in 6/7.

Bouaita was, Martinez will be the next one and Maludrottu will be the next one after that no matter who Dunne beats(well bar maybe Maludrottu, but even then I wouldn't be convinved).

Munroe is nowhere at World level, he struggled badly with the very poor Arsen Matirosian and I think he'd be put away in about 3 rounds by either Vasquez or Marquez and Molitor would have an easy time with him before stopping him late.

Before anyone has a go at the guy in my avatar(and I'm sure someone will) he equally falls short at World level. I'd give him a better shot at beating Molitor than Munroe but I reckon he'd still lose, just not as badly.

Munroe will want to have his level of opposition increased significantly if he's going to go for a World title. Trotta will not even prepare him for the Martinez/Dunne/Maludrottu level of opponent that Munroe will have to fight to keep his title. Infact it won't even prepare him for Marsh or an inactive and rusty Michael Hunter.

On an entirely different point (apologies folks), if Bernard has made half the strides he has said he has regarding building power then tings may just be about to get interesting. Although I guess I won't have to wait long to see.

Molitor is the weakest but he would still easily beat Munroe.

TBH I think Rendall should stay away from world title fights, they aint gonna prolongue his career and he wont want to go back to the bins for good. I know I wouldn't !! ;) Good luck though.

Even if he lost to JuanMa he wouldn;t be one of his one-round walkovers, and I think he'd give a good account of himself against Vasquez; Marquez; Molitor and Cabellero aswell.

He has World class ability and can seemingly take a good shot. He has size advantages at SBW (over pretty much everyone bar Cabaellero) and has half-decent power too (he's no Paulie is he???)

Good luck to him, with support and decent matchmaking Rendell Munroe could be one of the guys to take over once Hatton and Calzaghe have gone. He has quite the following already!!!
