Brian Peters (Bernard Dunne's promoter/manager) has come out to offer Munroe a 70k (I think) pay cheque to fight Dunne in Dublin for the EBU title.

Apparently Peters has said if Munroe is willing to come to Dublin to fight an Italian for **** all money in front of **** all people (or words to those effects) then why not come fight Bernard in front of a big crowd, for good money in a fight fans want to see.

I'm all for that but apparently he made some disparaging remarks about Munroe's standard of opponent (again fair enough I guess since I agree myself) but then went on to take a couple of sly digs at him.

Now I haven't heard/read a statement but if it's true then I will be very disappointed as this kind of name calling was never Dunne/Peter's style. They always did their business in the background and sorted things out that way.

I know for a fact that Bernard has the upmost respect for Munroe so I hope that there was nothing below the belt said. Like i stated, I haven't heard/read the statement myself, but I hope that team Dunne haven't changed from the way they conducted their business in the past

I just think Munroe vs Dunne should happen at the earliest opportunity.

Maloney seems to have taken the Hennessy attitude of 'everyone is ducking my men' lately regardless of facts - apparently Tommy Gilmour is keeping Appleby away from Bhatia, yet Tommy stuck him in with Simpson?

Strange that - because I would swear that Simmo would be more dangerous at that point.
