Never been too impressed with Burns. Every time he steps up and fights a decent opponent he loses. He was lucky vs Akaba, that result could have gone either way. I went to see him fight Johannesson and Burns was a real disapointment, decent skill but nothing else.
Sounds like you forgot about when Burns stepped in at late notice & beat Graham Earl handily in a huge shock at the time & handed him his first defeat. Dont worry, we all forget things from time to time though DW, its called 'selective memory'
Burns is awkward and hits hard. He's much better then he looks and has good power and a good chin. I don't think he's beat mitchell. I'd like to see him rematch Carl Johansson or fight Gomez....
Earl is only rated when it suits peoples areguments on here. Burns is a decent domestic pro who could feed on a few old fighters but once he fights another good fighter he will lose.
Mcallister is to big and strong for burns, also both of them like to box and move ,i dont think the styles would make for a good fight
I saw an interview of a few scottich fighters on regional news while I was at work in Scotland, They were chatting to Willie about his upcoming fights and future sounded like a really sound geezer and very humble, then they interviewed McAllister and he was going on about how Gomez wasnt fit to carry his kit bag and that hed destroy every lightweight in the country. What a arrogant little gobshite he is. Whoever fights him next whether it be Gomez Murray anyone I just hope he gets KTFRO. :fire :fire
I've heard a couple of whispers that a few people in the know fancy Mcallister in this one. I'll be very suprise if he stands up to Murray. Comparitive performances against Dean Hickman aren't inspiring.
Good point but it was not long ago that people were saying Murray was not to great cos he struggled with lesser fighters, one break through fight later and everybody wants to crack him.
Does anyone know when tickets go on sale for this? Is it still going to be at the Gmex on November 29th?
