There's no sharp 'ompf' if thats a textbook phrase. Come on son. A bit more power & bounce, not tap tap. ...thats better but nothing strong.
Murray certainly doesn't look out of his depth early on. He's jabbing with Sturm but doesn't seem to be putting much power into his punches, maybe saving himself. Sturm gets a bit more aggressive in his march forward but isn't throwing much. Few straight shots from Murray go through the high guard of Sturm. Sturm responds with a good right hand. Sturm forces Murray against the ropes and loads up on a few rights, all of which were blocked. Murray round, 30-28 Murray.
Better from Murray but wasn't too much squeezing through. Sturm came back strong I can sense a stoppage for Sturm.
Better from Murray, Punches with more intent, but sadly may have allowed Sturm to steal round on judges cards. For me though Murray done enough. Lead off, work the punches around and through with combinations. I don't like when he's being hit to body. He seems to be bothered by Sturm's bodyshots. Martin can do this, he must step it up and lead off!.
2-1 Murray for me. The first could've gone either way, or even, but Murray took it on body work for me. Both landed next to nothing but Martin fit a couple of rights around the guard as well as a few jabs to the solar plexus. Did great the first 2 and a half minutes of the third.
Jim keeps saying that Murray is giving as good as he is getting but the difference in the shots landing is Sturms do look hurtful
Sturm putting more power into his punches in the 4th, but still not landing much. Murray boxing well still but Sturm starts to land himself. Murray responds by dropping his hands to try to lure Sturm in. He's breathing heavier now but still winning this round IMO. 40-37 Murray
