Yea, I'm okay with either fight. And given Ortiz following, I wouldn't knock him for going after that one first, but personally, I'd want the actual accolade/accomplishment of a world title over beating a "media rival".
Only push back that I would hate is that Madrimov would be yet another fight that people use to compare Boots to Crawford...... And that is the nonsense I wish would just fade away as that fight is not going to happen.
Huh?..... I'm a little lost. Are you responding to something I said...... Stanionis is a welterweight with no connection to Madrimov..... Not sure what this post is talking about in regards to what I said about Stanionis being a gatekeeper. Help me out a little bit, I'm just trying to understand what you are saying.
It would be a shame for the Russian to face Ennis and take the L after being ducked by Ortiz, Lubin, Fundora etc. Hopefully Turki would put Murtzaliev and Ennis in different brackets, ensuring that Ortiz would have to get his ass kicked by one of them.
Huh? I'm confused.....When did was Ortiz ever offered the Murtazaliev fight. I understand how dangerous that fight is for anyone in the division, but all of this "Fighter A ducked Fighter B" nonsense gets pushed way too much. Ortiz isn't even ranked by the IBF if I'm not mistaken, so he has at least 10-15 fighters ahead of him as priority to a fight vs Murtazaliev. And come to think about it, of the names you mentioned, it's Ennis and Fundora who actually have been documented of turning down official fight offers vs competition at 154lbs. Ortiz turned down a Crawford fight but that was at 147lbs. But yea, Eddie Hearns is trying to promote Ennis as being the most dangerous competitor at 154 while putting him in the most noncompetitive match ups. Which is par the course for Ennis's entire career honestly. Murtazaliev specifically said that he wants Ennis. I would love to believe he's every bit as talented as his followers boast him to be, but it's hard for me to get in that boat when he consistently and not even discreetly, avoids top competition, while claiming that "nobody wants to fight me".....
