I love bro science I ****ing love that ha ha ha !!! 'Im really struggling with squats- can u help?' 'Sure bro just jump up and down 7 times a day before you have any breakfast- you be mad strong in no time'
You only have to look at his replies to see he, Brown Bomber is baiting around. And what is wrong? what is a beginner to weight lifting of course you want him to do heaps of reps to build endurance + mass...What did you suggest? Lift heavy bro u be strong??
When did I mention anything about weight lifting?.. Oh you think a sports biomechanist is a weight lifting trainer. Even in a place full of people with questionable intelligence you really stand out. Congratulations :good
"If Ray Arcel says it's good then must be true. Do you know more then Ray Arcel?" If you even took this line serious you might be very very slow.
Okay then, explain it. I can guarantee I know more than an old school boxing coach about the mechanics of a punch. How am I meant to know what is serious or not in this thread. Are you saying that all the moronic things you've said are just jokes? Obviously Brown Bomber was joking around but all I got from your posts was stupid. You gotta either work on your delivery or your intelligence, which one is it?
You must be part of the reason why the boxing skill is so "low" compared to the past. You want me to explain a bait post? I made Brown Bomber stop posting sarcastically and even had him on the defense, and I got a serious response from you IN a clear bait thread. Who is the stupid one? Some of my posts didn't even make sense.
You really have no idea what you're talking about. Lulz. Explain it to me, why in your world does a beginner have to do everything in high reps? I suppose you think they should use machines as well before they can graduate to using freeweights? Did I suggest developing strength to a beginner of weight lifting? Of course. As would anyone with a clue. The advice you gave - do 200 shrugs then switch to another variation and do another 150 reps to develop your upper body. What a waste of time. Become stronger or do a shitload of shrugs with very light weight and end up doing nothing for myself. Hmmmm which would I choose? :think
lol and here we go the guy who doesn't know what he's talking bout getting defensive because the guys who have knowledge and experience disagree.
Do nothing? You get muscle mass and endurance which is what you want, Do you really know anything about this sport or do you lift heavy and punch the heavy bag? Why would you suggest weight lifting to a beginner? He's exactly that. Boxing is all about repetition. Strength and endurance come in this sport over time. Bench pressing 150kg is not going help you in the long run. I can only name one great boxer who said weight lifting helped him and than again he did it in a bunch of reps as well.
