Crazy to think that he even had weight issues back in '08 when he was supposed to be at the Olympics!

Needs to increase his willpower or call it a day.

If he had the discipline the guy could be making lightweight. What a shame.

I can't believe how many people have mentioned this Sky bias since Saturday. I think Macklin took it to new levels of blinkered commentary, Eggington won the fight but even so Macklin almost ignored that fact and just kept heaping praise on Gavin.

I thought us on here who watch a lot of boxing and have over the years have been critical of Sky would obviously notice but quite a few people have been hammering Macklin and his love for Frankie Gavin.

In all fairness, Gavin DID produce the better work to the eye, that's undebatable. He DID look a different class at times.

But I think that Gavin & Macklin are mates, and that showed with Mack's commentary.

but as a paid professional friendship should not come into it

the wheels have come off for frankie by the looks of it can you see him really accepting to stay hanging around british level it will eat at him imo probably to the point where he maybe start to resent the sport ?

I aint liking what I reading regarding frankie

if we are to believe him its just impossible for him to make 140 ok
so it becomes apparent he cant cut it with the bigger 147 fighters so then its I'm going to 140

but but you have been telling us that its beyond you to make 140 as your body as matured then the wheels come off again and then its I'm going back to 140 one tune up then mega fight sorry but it as to be earnt you aint done **** at 140 to warrant any special treatment or nor does anyone or any org owe you **** down there

he lack of dedication as cost him and he cannot keep calling any shots they have to be earnt from here on in

its been a frustrating path to follow

He should be making 135, let alone 140.

what I find absolutely weird is him coming acroos all amir khan self entitled I mean khan was an olypian that made the weight and snatched silver

gavin got the Lonsdale and that is about it fail to prepare prepare to fail
his own words something along the lines of , were there is no way I can make 140 my body as filled out from the lightweight days

but now as as been told he aint upto much at ww its now I have to get down to lww
    to much to soon imo
    from trainers
    sponsors
pay checks from fwa nk early on just killed any aspirations he may have had to make the bigtime
