must have been the other guys first fight is guard was good ,& didn't make a fight of it ,,,but saying that you did well to get the stoppage ,,when you throw most of your shots you tend to grouch down ,you will lose reach distance ,,try to keep tall when throwing punches this way you will find it easier to push of the back foot to step-in with the jab ,hook etc maximizing your full reach

    well done :bokc

The point made about the stance being too wide is spot on. It is at the root of everything that needs work. You slap a lot with your punches, but that is because your feet are too far apart to get your weight turned. You telegraph your right hand, but you have to wind up to throw it, because your feet are too far apart to punch from the shoulder.
You tend to lead with your face, and sometimes when you throw the right hand you bring your right foot up, like a baseball pitcher. You shouldn't do that: Watch Tyson/Botha and you'll see why. You also, when throwing a lot of punches, bring your feet in line. I think that is because, being so wide front to back, you can't throw a bunch of punches and maintain balance. But against better fighters that will put you in line for counters and it will be real hard to avoid them.

i do that alot when going foward, open my stance far too wide and never actually land much, and i take alot of shots when i do it, its stupid really because you think your out of range but your in it and stuck.

The kid that your fighting is over matched. He is basically a standing target. You looked good against that guy. You would not do so good against a few of our guys with 4-5 fights who are a lot more aggressive and alot tougher. Advice---- double / triple jabs, punches in bunches, & move around your opponent.
