I forgot to mention that as soon as I opened the door to the gym that day, I heard the speed bag going off like I've never heard it before. I thought it was one of the SHWs hamming out, but I realized later it was McCall.

He wasn't working out that I know of, he was hanging out and working closely with one of the prospects. I didn't see him on the speed bag but it sounded like thunder.

Louis has some of the best head movement of all time. Efficient. He used it mostly to counter and to create angles.

Like Mayweather, he doesn't move head much in rhythm, only when it really mattered.

If you really want to judge power on a heavy bad, hold it! Just keep your thumbs away, or a heavy hitter can break it.

McCall to me was a heavy-handed dude, but I would not give him a spot in the top 50 heavyweight punchers.

??? I only saw good head movement for Louis in the Max Baer, fight, probably his best overall performance. In too many of his fights I see slow feet, lack of lateral agility, a low guard ( open to right hands ) and sometimes a stick your face style forward.

Louis seems to like to operate in a 2/3 range to target.

Mayweather is 5X the defensive fighter. No comparison here.

Hey that's pretty cool Rez! I'm always a little awestruck when I meet a fighter in real life even if they aren't that popular or well known. He pretty much confirmed my theory on how a smaller guy can beat a bigger guy.

He actually moved his head a lot.
It's way more masked than modern day footage because of the camera angles, but he was a master at slipping and weaving.

Louis was like Mayweather as a heavyweight thudding hitter.
They even had the same check hook.
