YARRRR im tapped out of BS jokes.

Roy was the first elite fighter i kept up with. One of the first Super fights i watched was Jones vs Toney.A unique talent. The only knock i ever had on Roy was his holding of belts that were rightfully won by DM.Had he not been a Euro in a time when Euro's got no respect Roy wouldnt have walked into so many holding tons of belts that were stripped due to BS Boxing politics(Roy was a bigger cash cow for the ABC's)

Roy didnt duck DM DM didnt duck Roy both are to blame.

when he was past his prime, not a good example. Robinson lost in his prime, Leonard lost in his prime, Roy didnt (and yes, i know he lost a DQ, but thats a whole load of bull****.)

A God with gloves at 160 and 168. And a great H2H fighter as well.

He was losing that fight before the DQ IMO.

Griffin roughed Roy up in the 1st fight.

If DM would have been in the States, there is a good chance he loses those belts to Jones anyways, who would have been favored in the match. Perhaps DM would have won, but you can't say Jones wouldn't have gotten all those belts.

And the WBC was Jones' belt. DM never held it.

Potentially one of the very best fighters of all time and he came close to proving it in the ring but his age caught up to him before he had the chance.

He wasn't losing. Griffin had won 4 rounds out of 8, but had been KD in the 7th giving Jones a slim lead. He had also been KD in the 9th...so Jones would have been ahead.

exactly, and did it really look like Griffin was gonna pull it out? i think the rematch answered that question.

Odds are Griffin would either have been stopped or lost the last 3 rounds.

But he gave it up and it was fairly won by the Italian/German dude.

The WBC wanted there cash cow to have his belt back so they STOLE it back away from the rightful owner.A move as we all know that cost the WBC $30 million.
