It was a total destruction of a Glass Jaw. Whyte wasn’t getting up at a 30 count much less an 8 count.
FFS I think he meant the paramedics got in the ring and had moved Whyte in to the recovery position in 8 seconds, great piece of medical care, we should all praise the paramedics. Hearn is genuinely desperate, the "casuals" are jumping off the Whyte train and Hearn knows it, he has a PPV to sell so he will just make anything up to try and convince the brain dead this fight is worth buying and your eyes witnessed something they didn't last time. Personally I think it's very embarrassing but Hearn has no shame.
It's about trust. No one defends Arums lied. Every one knows everything he says is a lie. For Eddie people defend what he says and some go as far as to call him the only honest promoter. Hence people call out his his BS more. If Hearn didn't have people defending his lies, or if Arum did, the roles would be reversed.
Anyone who thinks the ref waving off that fight is wrong is an idiot. You could see it in whyte's eyes. Whyte was out of it. It's the whole fury vs Whyte debate, what's the difference between Whyte's TKO and Fury almost KO against Wilder? The ref clearly saw Fury was still fully conscious, while as Whyte was seeing stars and not getting up/.
Povetkin, you legend. One punch seriously damaged years of 'branding' investment and now the damage control is in full force. Land another bomb and you can destroy that 'brand' for good.
I cant recall anyone truly defending Hearn or being a fanboy. All I see is peiple reacting piorly to **** he says. But it's some sort of a war against his fanboys it seems. Whatever. I still find it odd.
I can't recall in history seeing someone on their back for 3/4 seconds then getting up like the undertaker Ali and Holmes both took knockout punches clean and within a second or two dazed on the canvas got up hurt but still fairly strong. You had to kill Ali to stop him. He took fierce punches after getting up from his knockdowns also, Fury was the same. Wilder caught him with a massive left hook after he got up, you see his eyes rattle around but he still holds strong. Animals of men, tough as anything.
He was actually reaching for the rope to pull himself back up after about 24 seconds or so and back up on his feet after about 35, but obviously he was in no position to continue and he was still badly dazed for considerably longer than that
lol that’s just the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard in at least the last week in boxing, I think another few seconds and he was getting outlined in chalk and the crime scene investigators were taking over. Even a good 20 minutes later he was walking around looking like when you sit in an awkward position and your legs go numb he was flicking his legs out like he forgot how to use his knees. A knockout like that becomes part of you it’s a definite part of your life flashing before your eyes highlight reel when you die. You don’t just move on from a knockout like that you have to become a different person lol
I did think that the povetkin knockdowns were weak and I was surprised that he went down they didn’t look like there was much in the shots tbf, think that’s probably why we haven’t heard anything from povetkin claiming he deserves a shot if he does the same thing to whyte again
