Yeah, the way Botha was Mocking Mike reminded me of Nate Campbell posing against Robbie Peden. Plus Botha was grunting in there like Monica Seles on a tennis court!
I've read some people putting the knockout of Mark Young on suspicion. They say it was staged, for being too weird and exaggerated.... It's hard to reach a conclusion.....If it was real, it is one of the greatest examples of delayed effect of a punch ever.....
I remember seeing it as a kid and thinking it was odd. Then a commenter noted it was similar to Ali's Anchor Punch against Liston. If we can somehow zoom in and get a close up. I don't think it was staged, could be, I just think Young took a dive to get out while he was still alive.
Wass trolling Tyson had a long highlight reel worth of spectacular Kos in his career and he has to nit pick that a few guys looked for a soft place on the canvas during Tyson's very early fights. Like I said earlier, highlight reel early kos of Spinks and Berbick, in fights that were projected to be much tougher, are my favorites. This thread, as the title explicity states, should be used to celebrate Tyson's best kos, but Wass uses it to go out of his way to find anything negative he can. If you want to trash tyson, just open up a thread "Tyson's most brutal Ko losses"
Looks like Tyson doesn't hit him. Bit like the Bruce Seldon affair. But, unlike Seldon, a little benefit of doubt remains because perhaps the camera angle isn't perfect. I'd say Young got scared and took a dive.
I mean he's right, a few of those fighters tasted his power early and didnt want any more of that, so they took the first chance to lay down. Doesnt diminish Tyson's accomplishments, its just the truth
