    Pimp post yours :deal

You think Hopkins should still be on there? I don't think Calzaghe should be top 5 after last fight....JMM, Pac, Cotto, Vasquez, Floyd all deserve to be above him. Wlad is borderline top 10. Pavlik SHOULD be on there, especially if Hopkins is for ****s sake.

I'll post mine up also :good

Definitley not the current generation of HW's. There are no 'A level' fighters currently fighting at HW anymore.

Tyson and Holyfield were rightfully on P4P lists when they were at their best, as was Lennox Lewis.

Klitschko is the best HW, let's say he was downsized to a 6'3 rangy LHW in his same style and with power and speed adjusted to the weight as we do with 'P4P H2H' matches, you see him being very effective?

The HW's that he's shown flaws against have been very poor, including Ibragimov, who he should have iced in several rounds. Let's not even talk about a human punching bag like Brewster, or the sloppy working Brock.

No love for David Haye? As a cruiserweight he deserves a top 20 slot.

So...CW shouldn't be there either because with a 15 lbs advantage, they should be able to beat everyone else south of CW...etc...

nah...p4p lists are just a list of the best fighters in the world, with the best first, the second best second...etc.

The question was whether he should be higher-ranked than Hopkins. I don't necessarily think so. You do. Time will tell.

As sean said, p4p lists are for fun. Even I, who was a p4p list fanatic have realised that there is no one true list. A very good case can be made for quite a few p4p lists...:rasta

    :hi:

e.g. Mosley...he had a very close fight with Cotto. Cotto is usually placed in the Top 5 or so, but Mosley is rarely placed even in the Top 15! That seems hardly fair...

The win over Kessler is still very recent though. Do you not rank Kessler highly anymore?

Cotto's technically better than Pac and in his own style, technically as good as JMM on skill level, but his chin is still a bad vulnerability even though he recovers very well. There are just no Welterweight top punchers that are very good...

I think you're wrong. Cotto's performance against Mosely was razor close, the performance against Gomez was such a brutal 1 sided fight because Gomez is a C level.

So let's take this logically. Mosely's in better condition than Hopkins, but Hopkins is certainly a superior fighter all time to Mosely, this evens out very well and Calzaghe won the fight cleaner than Cotto did with Mosely by knowledgable accounts, this includes fighting someone there to spoil with a styles advantage.

Cotto being a pressure fighter had the styles advantage, then Mosely adjusted from boxing to slugging, which counter acted Cotto's swarming, then Cotto got hurt and lost a succession of rounds, having to then adjust into a counter punching style and cleanly taking the 11th for the win and cleanly losing the 12th. 7 to 5 Cotto, a good case for a draw for Mosely can be made.

Great fighters, but when guys lack defence that bad it tends to do a number on their H2H P4P level.... I rate JMM over his brother in skill bigtime.

    I'm a serious kind of guy.:smoke

I think Mosely is a top 15 P4P and still a top 3 Welterweight. He was aged, but still at about 80% or so and painfully obvious to not have eroded much.

A prime to prime fight with Mosely/Cotto would be similiar, but Mosely taking the clear decision in a competitive fight instead.
