Chuvalo has mentioned it on numerous interviews, when you show me the lies told by him on other matters then I will stop and listen.
I'm not the one making claims without any primary supported proof, you are .And Chuvalo was dropped by Bonavena yet he says he was never floored. This content is protected This content is protected Thanks to H E Grant for providing these.
Ali was 6”2 and when prime had trouble with the smaller men he fought, Doug Jones, Joe Frazier- 5”10 204lbs Henry Cooper 188lbs, Ali himself said Marciano was better than Frazier so he thought a tougher test & he stated just sparring with him he felt Marcianos power. Rockys arrest record (If True) from the military should him to be 5”11 so 3 inches is nothing with heavyweights. When discussing ATG heavyweights it’s very hard to say who would ABSOLUTELY win, it just a guess. IMO Joe Louis beats everyone but he also lost young and old & could have lost to Walcott. Marciano cut but overcame and never lost. Ali was dropped by smaller men either height or weight but he got up to win and lose. This fight would be a great fight of attrition heart and styles and will and both men had an abundance of those qualities. I could not be certain who would win but I can have only an opinion like you. I try to detach myself from a fighter that I respect as I do both of these men but very hard if we favour certain qualities over others. IMO I could see a series between these men being wars with many possibilities and endings and possibly a late stoppage but could go either way.
So we shave an inch off Ali's height and add half an inch to Marciano's.lol Frazier was 20lbs heavier than Marciano and quicker of hand and foot. Ali was not prime for either the Jones fight or the 1st Coper one. It would be a great fight as was the one between a prime Frazier and an Ali who had 18rds of boxing under his belt in the previous 4 years.
Yep you're right, that knockdown was clearly BS, anyone with eyes can clearly see that was not a legitimate knockdown.
Still waiting for your primary source that proves Ali urinated blood after the Chuvalo fight, have you somehow mislaid it?
I see you changed your opinion on the knockdown. I'll take the word of Chuvalo of a few naysayers on this forum.
When you make a statement and are called on it the onus is on you to provide proof of it.You have not done that and clearly you won't. Why do you think Chuvalo would be in a position to make that claim with any confidence, was he Ali's Doctor? You are making yourself look ridiculous. Why not be honest about it and admit you have no evidence whatsoever that it occurred? You'll feel better afterwards.
You have taken fighters statements as gospel plenty of times on here, so will I! Why do I think Chuvalo would know, doesn't take a brain surgeon to work out why. Well he'd just actually fought Ali, him and his team would have been told plenty of information in the aftermath of the fight. The one who's making themselves look silly is you, plain ignoring a respectable fighters statement just because it doesn't suit your agenda. Like I said, I'll take Chuvalo's word over a poster who believes he suffered a legit knockdown against Bonavena.
If Ali had said," I pissed blood after the Chuvalo fight," I would have believed him, totally different! If Ali had said." Chuvalo passed out in the dressing room after our fight," I would not believe him without corroboration either from Chuvalo or his trainer. You seem to have difficulty grasping the nuances of the two viewpoints! If this happened why doesn't Ali mention it in any interview or any book? Why didn't Ali's personal physician mention it in his autobiography. Bottom line you haven't a shred of evidence/proof it actually happened , but you believe it because it suits your narrative. We both know that is the case ,so stop with the BS.
Which book or books? If Ali goes in to deep detail about this bout and doesn't mention it then I could question it? I'm sure not much is mentioned on the Chuvalo bouts in any of his books? You make a habit of bringing fighters quotes up and taking them as facts, what's good enough for the goose and all that. We both know you are denying Chuvalo's statement because it doesn't suit your agenda.
