Anybody heard about this Ali kid? I know he is pretty big business back in his homeland so pretty surprised he is being used as the opponent against Walsh. Appently Ali is not very good but he must be worth a few pennines.

No idea who he is but he must be better than the **** that comes out of Europe these days...at least he seems to have some amateur pedigree.

Is Michael Walsh the exceptionally annoying ****er out of the trio? If so I hope the Iraqi whoops his arse too.

oh god, not another wannabe naz, i hope This ali fella sparks him clean out, when i saw this guy on setanta, he was plain disrespectful, showboating has its limits.

I dont get why people find arrogance so offensive, I think arrogance is what makes the sport great.

No one can say he isnt backing it up at the minute, hes got 6 KO's in 6 fights.

To be honest no matter how much of a twat this Wlsh kid is this Ali guy is probably the most awful fighter I have seen in recent years...the Latvians would do a number on him.

So he's a pile of horse manure? i'll reserve judgement till afterthe fight, but dont u hate it when every1 goes around building up opposition as if they're the next coming, and they end up being a total joke.

We need to watch tonight to come up with a system for remembering which Walsh is which. I'm hoping that system will include 'oh yeh, he's the one who got sparked when sticking his chin out with his hands down'

  10. Good thread :good

Was gonna start one on this cos I was very surprised this match had been made. Ali hasn't fought in nearly a year and I had wondered what had happened to him but he's a decent fighter and I'm surprised they've put walsh in with him. I could be wrong and he could be completely outclassed but I think Ali will give him hell.

    Here he is:

He was the only Olympian for Iraq in 2004 so yes, he's well known over there.

what the hell was that? lol Talk about a tomato can!

I guess we'll just have to wait and see till the match tonight, what we do know, is he can put away a bum.

But here's hoping he does that to that friggin circus clown.

A bit of cockiness and showboatings fine if uve got the personality and achievements to justify if. 6 wins against bumscz (latvian for bums...) doesnt warrant michael walsh's behaviour. especially when liams the better fighter outta the 3!

Alis a good little fighter quick hands but sorry 2 disappoint some peeps on here but he's a blown up flyweight and 2 points wins against journeymen might just mean his power doesnt go up to super-bantam. Najah should stick to fly, fight sexton that'd be a war, so to speak...
