If we expect a given decision then we would hardly regard it as controvertial.

Duran-Whitaker IMO...round after round that would have been up to interpretation, probably seeing relatively wide discrepancies in the scoring.

i believe that meldrick taylor vs hector camacho would be bad .. both getting off at a high rate .. both being able to last all 12 rounds .. both tagging eachother .. it'd come down to who managed to avoid getting tagged more then the other guy .. which would fall into camachos game plan .. but then you'd have the pressure that taylor brings which is judged on by some judges ... it'd be a toughy to score

For some reason I think the same about Azumah Nelson/Hector Camacho.

Lennox Lewis vs. Larry Holmes (Jabs, jabs and missed punches, with the occasional right hand getting through but not finishing the job)

Carlos Monzon vs. Marvin Hagler (There would be too much brilliant action for rounds to be easy to score)

Naseem Hamed vs. Manny Pacquiao (Do you favour clean punching vs. workrate?)

Jersey Joe Walcott vs. Jack Johnson

Ken Buchanan vs. a prime Carlos Ortiz

That´s a f*cking myth. Have you even bothered watching the fights in question? There is one fight he should have lost - Reid - and he got the decision in a two close fights - Brewer I, Ottke won the rematch clearly, and Larsen, it´s not that Ottke won this but Larsen lost it, he just didn´t do anything - that could have gone either way. All the other fights where people weep about are just made up. Watch the fights. Johnson? That was at least 8-4 or even 9-3 rounds for Ottke. Mitchell? 7-5 rounds but clearly. The Reid fight was a disgrace, I agree, but that does not mean that all of his fights were.

If you want more insight look into this thread in the European forum. The myth get´s dismantled quite fine in there.

As horrible of an experience as it usually is for me to watch a fight with Valuev or Ottke, for some reason, I'd like nothing more than to watch them fight each other.

i find it hard to believe this one would end in a decision , let alone a controversial one. maybe you'd call the stoppage a premature one and then you'll be right.
