Meldrick Taylor and Sugar Ray Leonard

You can disagree, but prime Taylor (before Chavez fight) was really someone who could remind you of Sugar Ray, if only he boxed more than he fought they would be a lot more similar.

Sugar Ray Robinson and Sugar Shane Mosley:

Prime Shane Mosley is the closest that comes to Ray Robinsons style of fighting.

Ward swoops in with punches (and his head), moves laterally for extended periods in order to downplay the action, clinches excessively, and bumps opponents with his hips in order to get them off balance. All the exact same **** that Bernard does and both are equally as dull to watch.

If you don't see that then you have somekind of odd bias against Hops that I don't understand because style-wise it's like looking into a ****ing mirror.

exactly....bhop is ****en garbage and has gotten away with being a dirty ass mutha****er in the ring....if clinching was against the rules completely, he'd have maybe like 6 wins and the rest dq's.....

ward did it once, but atleast he has a style outside of that....

Never seen the Green fight actually, and I don't need to, to know what his style is like. If you don't see the similarities then you're quite honestly blind as ****. It ain't just me who sees the style resemblence. There are already a number of other fans on here who said the same thing.

Only in the offensive department I would say. We all know Robinson was a much more well rounded fighter, but both guys did like to throw flashy combinations and would also throw caution to the wind and wind up with big, looping powershots.

Freddy, it's rediculous for you to hate on B-Hop for being a dirty fighter when you continuously support and hype up a proven cheater like Margarito.

Im a Ward fan and there are similarities between him and Hopkins for sure. Plus, Hopkins is 45 so using the fact that Ward ''works'' isnt necessary, thats only valid if Ward still ''works'' when he's 45.
