No, he falls just short of that status in my own personal ratings and rankings, but he seems to widely considered to be an ATG these days so he merits inclusion in this discussion.

Lennox had a weaker resume than Glass Jaw Roy? :rofl :patsch

    Frazier? :rofl

Mike Spinks moved up to Heavyweight and beat THE Heavyweight Champion. He did not handpick a paper beltholder like Roy did. :hi:

As much as I love the guy (and regulars will know of my admiration) Aaron Pryor.

However, I sense this is just a Roy-bashing thread......

Pryor's resume is below that of any on the top group aside from Lopez.

 - no he DEFINITELY wouldn't as I have a concrete top 100 as you know.

No, I don't think he would though. I agree in general terms with The Ring's Top 80 of the Last 80 Years, and that places Mike McCallum at 79th. I would definitely place McCallum above Calzaghe personally, and the top 80 doesn't take into the many great fighters from before the last 80 years - on that basis I cannot be sure he wouldn't make my top 100 but I don't think he would.

I can't agree with you there.

Would you place Ricardo Lopez above McCallum?

Not much of an ATG if you ask me.

Maybe so, I am a little biased when it comes to AP, but I do think his resume is as good as Tszyu's or Mosley's.

P.S, that "80 of the last 80" list was terrible.

No, I wouldn't. For all that I appreciate Lopez's skills, resume is too important a factor for me.

The order was terrible, but it was more or less the correct 80 names IMO.
