atsch You're not even close to being entitled to an opinion, Mr. Admits-To-Never-Having-Seen-Narvaez-Before-His-Highly-Atypical-Performance-Against-Donaire.
He can't. He has literally seen all of twelve rounds of Narvaez, and they were the 12 rounds in his career where he was just taking the **** and laughing his way to the bank.
lol like I care what you think. I've actually since watched Narvaez fights on youtube. Good fighter, but not in the class of guys like Montiel and Darchiyan.
Still looks like a speculation to me. He looked strong in that fight against Donaire but he didn't throw punches that much tough.
Again - "educated guess" is more apt than "speculation". If he's a small super fly and very small fly with about average power in either case...why would it make sense to not dismiss the idea that he'd suddenly find thunder in his fists as a tiny bantam? Let's take someone with comparably average power in another weight class - Luis Collazo @ welterweight. Now, if he moved up to middleweight would you consider it an educated guess or sheer speculation to say he probably wouldn't be a concussive knockout puncher at 160? :think
Well, the one thing I can say is that he's extremely unpopular outside Argentina so that compliments him more for not being extraordinary @ any weight. That remains a speculation to me. He looked pretty strong going in against Donaire, it's just that he doesn't throw punches much of the time.. I can't compare him with Darchinyan though. Darchinyan depends more on his 1-handed power, Narvaez is more dependent with his skills. But he's got a pretty good KO ratio considering that he doesn't depend on throwing volume punches or individual power punches for that matter. The quality of his power remains a speculation to me unless I really see him beating up opponents to the punches while not putting them down.
