He's the same build as Martin Murray just a hair shorter.

Golovkin is closer to 5ft11 than 5ft10, he's clearly taller than the likes of Geale and Macklin who are legit 5ft 10 and much taller than Lemieux.

Murray is meant to be 6ft (realistially only 5ft11) and Golovkin is pretty much the exact same height as him

Chris Eubank, Roy Jones and James Toney were legit 5ft10 and Hagler was 5ft9. 5ft10.5 is a tall 160lber, it definitely isn't an undersized 168lber thats for damn sure.

GGG is a big middleweight, with a frame that would benefit fighting at 168. He could go to 175 and wouldn't be too undersized just a bit small.

    GGG @ 175 = Brook @ 160

175 would be too much, but I hope he will move up at 168. I can not stand endless story about GGG-Canelo fight. I don't want to see this fooking fight...

You are probably right GGG shouldn't go to 175, just like Kell probably shouldn't go to 160. If GGG does ever consider doing it, I hope he has a tune up first at the weigh!!!

I definitely don't think its wise up to jump 2 weight classes and fight a P4P heavy hitting monster that's for sure

I have admit you could be right, but I am a little bit egotistic and would like to see Lomachenko against M. Garcia...Obviusly, MG are not capable to make 130 any more...

Checked boxrec. Murray is 6ft tall 73 inch reach. Golovkin is 5'10.5" tall with 70 inches of reach. Roy Jones 5'11" 74", James Toney 5'10" 72", Marvin Hagler 5'9.5" 75", 5'10" 73"

You are pretty much wrong across the board. Golovkin is slightly smaller than all of the men you mentioned, with the exception of Geale, Macklin, and Lemieux who are all roughly the same size as him.

Do you have downs syndrome? You basically listed the exact same heights as me and tried to claim I was wrong!

I said Murray was "6ft", but lets be honest that is a bit far fetched when he is the same height as GGG and clearly shorter than George Groves who is a legit 6ft

Toney and Eubank are 5ft10 according to boxrec and Roy Jones is the same height as Toney any way so can't realistically be 5ft11?

Toney is a natural light heavyweight, who ended up at heavyweight and Eubank and Jones Jr were also massive middleweights that were best @ 168, and went up to cruiserweight and heavyweight respectively!!!!

GGG is taller than all of them with a frame as big as Jones Jr and Eubank, but probably a bit smaller naturally than Toney

So, we have to prefer GGG at 168. I expect that Groves & co have much more courage than recent MW fighters.

If fighter's weight is optimal, without too much draining, in the same time remaining strength, speed and endurance - we can speak about "natural weight division"....Nothing to do with promoters misuse - making mismatches and similar issues........For example : my weight is about 85kg/185lb (I can imagine that I am 25 and active). Minimal weight division for me could be 175. The end.

Height doesn't mean ****. Is Amagasa a natural SMW? Willie Nelson is a ***** for not fighting men his own size at cruiser? Personally I'm looking forward to Jamie McDonnell stepping up to Adonis Stevenson.

If you are rehydrating more than, I don't know, 12 or 13 pounds the day of the fight you should probably be a division higher. Either that or you need to quit drinking and eating so damn much between fights.
    Example:
Canelo Alvarez weighs in at 155 then comes into the fight at about 178lbs or so of muscle so he should by all rights be at 168 .
Brandon Rios weighed in at 147 but on fight night against Bradley he weighed something like 172. He's a little guy so he just needs to lose the weight the right way between fights.
Gennady Golovkin weighs in at 160 then his fight night weight is anywhere from 168-172, so he's right at home at middleweight.

Of course, all these numbers are arbitrary and opinions. What truly matters under the current rules is making weight at the weigh in by any (legal) means necessary.
