Nazim Richardson and Freddie Roach are both excellent strategists Nazim has worked out perfect plans for B-Hop and Shane Mosely and is very calm under pressure. Freddie devises a game plan and teaches it to perfection in training. Also, has a few predictions that come true. Brother Nazim never hogs the limelight but lately Freddie is becoming quite arrogant with pac's successes.
There are many great strategists and minds out there, but what really matters whether the trainer has the skills to teach and the fighter to learn. Everything depends on the communication between the fighter and trainer, and Freddie and Manny, like Nazim and Bernard understand each other 100%, and they are both a deadly combination together. I don't think it is possible to measure the trainers skills or decide who's better in a poll. Both of them are doing their job exactly the way they should, and that is good enough for me, but most of all, for Hopkins and Pacquiao.
I agree good point about the connection and understanding between trainer and fighter joe calzaghe and his father enzo were miles apart from enzo calzaghe and enzo macronalli
Nazim and Freddie aren't the miracle workers, the fighters, they have are and they make them look good. Manny listens to Freddie, B-Hop listens and executes, the same as Shane, this is why they look like great trainers. You have two guys like Floyd Sr. and Buddy McGirt, both are excellent trainers, but their fighters don't listen or sometimes are just outskilled. Floyd Sr. trained Chad Dawson and Floyd Jr., but Hatton lost, what is the difference, the fighter.
Yep, I like both of these guys. They know to push their fighters to be highly offensive when it's called for. Seems simple, but it's more complicated than it sounds, and doesn't happen nearly enough throughout the sport.
