Apparently Eddie has been in talks with governing bodies about AJ's rematch and Uysk's inability to fulfill his contracted rematch. Trying to make a case for AJ to get all his belts back.

    Anyone else heard this?

Bit of a snake in the grass move that innit.

Champs have been given leeway by the various orgs on delaying defenses for far more frivolous reasons than going home to repel an invasion.

Have you got any source for this?

I hope that's not the case - from what I can see the Usyk team have been easy to negotiate with, were willing to fight in the UK and conducted themselves with integrity at all times. If this is true, a desperate move from Hearn and one devoid of any honour.

    Not a reliable source, no.

I was putting it out there to see if anyone knew anymore about it, or if anyone had heard it also.

I could see Hearn pulling that kind of move. I do think it would be a bad move optically and would tarnish Joshua more than help him.
We don't know how long this conflict will last so it's up on the air. with that being said it would leave a bad taste in peoples mouths as Usyk has not lost them in the ring. I suppose there will come a point were the Org's need to act but were only a week into the conflict so any talk now is premature and a little tasteless if that is what Hearn is upto in the shadows.

Eddie's a prat but this thread should be deleted as it's nonsense without proof.

I hope this isn’t true but if something like this happens, I will be done with pro boxing. I will never pay to see another fight again. Will never attend a fight or watch pro boxing again. The sport is already corrupt but this would take the cake. I can’t imagine a champion taking belts this way. Usyk wouldn’t do it, I doubt AJ would. AJ is a classy cuy and no champ would accept bets taken from a belt holder who is away protesting his family and fighting for his country. This would be disgraceful no matter what side you are on. Hope it’s just a crazy rumor.

If Usyk cannot fight, then AJ should get an opportunity to fight for the belts against someone else, but he shouldn't just be reinstated as champion.

AJ vs Joyce for the belts?

If not, then offer AJ vs Fury/Whyte winner for the belts?

His quote was that they had the "utmost respect" for Usyk and didnt want to break the rematch clause in any way. So probably just petitioning for an interim (WBA title) fight to be allowed in the meantime. Im sure Usyk would accept even a small sum for the trouble and theoretical risk of Joshua losing if the other side and the sanctioning bodies show legitimate support to him keeping the titles and whatever purse split the rematch clause calls for.

Well if this rumour is true as specifically stated, old F@gin really has hit the septic bottom when it comes down to common decency and basic morals.

I'll await judgment until we find out more.

In the meantime no doubt he'll just go about his daily routine of picking a pocket or two..

At his very best he's a smarmy dodgy female genitilla.

I much preferred his old man TBH.
