Disagree. Ward gets full credit for his performance. But I can't consider him P4P king until he decisively beats Kovalev. Maybe a bit of sour grapes on my part(I'm trying my best to be civil right now ) Either way. Definitely needs a part II!

Kovalev landed more punches. Kovalev landed the harder punches. Ward was both rocked and dropped. Kovalev didn't have scratch on him. Ward looked like someone who got his ass kicked.

I give Ward a lot of credit for coming back from the KD, but he lost the fight. And Ward didn't dominate the 2nd half. I had 9-12 split 2 rounds each. The stars were aligned for Ward tonight. He got every benefit of the doubt and he got every close round that you can possibly give him. Despite the win, he's still not a better fighter than Kovalev. Kovalev showed that he's every bit as good a boxer as Ward and still managed a knockdown.
Dan Rafael had it 7-5 Kovalev And Harold Lederman 8-4 Kovalev. Plus knockdown. I don't always agree with them but I have hard time giving 7 rounds to Ward. I felt Kovalev edged it. Great fight and Ward proved his Greatness surviving and making it competitive but I think wrong person had their hand raised.
