Who are Fedors notable wins since Cro Cop? Granted it's a bigger win than Gray has achieved but that was in 2005
Not bad but Fedor has lost 2 in a row and was beat up bad in his last fight, he also hasn't done too much in the last 5 years to warrant a high ranking. back a few years he was easily #1. Machida before beating 47yr old randy was beat by rampage and before that destroyed by shogun. only changes I would make would be to insert Maynard and Cain and remove Fedor and Machida.
I can't take gsp off the top spot personally because he's fought Hughes, fitch, Penn, shields, koscheck twice and alves as noteable opponents since his last loss and never looked in the slightest danger of losing
None of those wins are even close to beating Frank Edgar They're not better than wins over Florian or Jim Miller either.
Well it's amusing you dismiss Kenny and big up these four, but here's my analysis Mark Coleman well...I love Mark but his style of fighting has been obsolete since he won the OW GP, limited fighter who lacks endurance but got by mainly on heart, desire and the need to get a few $$$ in the bank. No way a justification for a top ten p4p place in my books. Fedor despatched him easily should tell you how good he was Tim Sylvia - So the guy who was derided for years as an example of the superiority of PRIDE's HW division is now justification for a top 10 p4p spot nearly 3 years after they fought? before he faced Fedor he lost to an extremely shop worn Big nog and after was ktfo in 9 seconds by Mercer. No way a justification for a top 10 p4p spot after 2 straight loses Arlovski - Was probably top 3 in the HW rankings when he fought Fedor beating Werdum, Nelson and Rothwell. But is currently on the arse end of a 4 loss streak and was doing well, winning the fight against Fedor until he was duely ktfo and his chin will always be a weakness which makes it impossable to rank him high enough to put fedor in the top 10 p4p list after two losses/ This is Fedors most significant win since 05, again 2 years ago AND Rogers...well, I think Ive made my point And even though he may be an ''ultimate gatekeepr'' Kenny's losses are too Champ BJ Penn, Champ Sean Sherk, Challenger Gray and Diego at 185 the only time he can be considered a gatekeeper and not a contender anymore is because Gray beat him for a shot aat the title
Middleweight Matt Lindland. When has a HW beating a 185 ever been justifcation for a p4p spot? By that reasoning Vitor Belfort should be higher because he ko'd lindland and Rich Franklin.
Cmon Steve, Florian and Miller? Coleman, Sylvia and Arlovski were all former UFC champs and look at the quality of the performance as well, he was much more dominant, Maynard got close decisions in pretty much all of his big wins.
Of course, he didnt cut weight. As few $ in the bank fight he's a decent name. But not a p3p worthy win however you stretch it
Thats a lot of weight to cut to 185 no? What is this p3p consideration you speak of? Does it consider reach knowledge?
The 3 was a typo, but asking if cutting to 185 is a bit difficult when he was bulking up to his maximum to fight Fedor is a bit...well... Now you've had your traditional attempt at a smart arsed retort try and stay on subject, namely Mixed Martial Arts
Maynard smashed Florian. Coleman was way past his best when Fedor beat him the second time, Sylvia had lost to past prime Couture and Nogueira, Arlovski was a good win at the time after the Werdum win. Plus the lightweight division in the UFC is a lot stronger than heavy.
