I don't know its too bad young foreman made mistakes that were totally unnessary such as the bad habit of telegraphing....but he did shorten them when he came back....he liked to do things his way and it cost him
World champion, dominating opponents, and crushing Joe Frazier. I think it's important to keep perspective that he did things the right way, far more than he did things the wrong way.
I understand......but he had sandy saddler and Moore helping him out....there was no need to telegraph his punches....years later he did it less...with all due respct
finally a person with the brain enough to understand that george was relaxed and enjoying his sparring session, he was playing and still you read here stupid comments like" now you know why ali could land many rights hands etc"
He was definitely taking it easy, having a little fun, using defensive tricks, and trying some other eccentric moves. I think of things like this as exploration. He is exploring and experimenting.
ali could land right hands on Foreman because Ali would be capable to land rights hands over every human on the planet at that time foreman fought him, Ali was the best hw of all time.... and Foreman lost the title against this great great legend, what a honor.
I think none of that means anything unless Ali could figure out how to absorb the power. That was more important. From there, he can set timing and his speed for his attack. But I'm 100% of the school of thought that Ali did something very right. Not that Foreman did something wrong.
you know that i am the biggest Foreman fan, but Clay/Ali beats Foreman in Zaire,Madrid,Pekin or the moon, Foreman was one of the greatest, but Ali was THE GREATEST THE ****ING BOSS
BoxRec lists this as George's 32 fight if it is against Luis Pires as shown on the poster in the clip. Foreman used to spar a lot with "Bossman' Jones, but don't think that is the "Bossman".
Why didn't Foreman use any defensive techniques against Ron Lyle? They threw all those shoulder rolls, the footwork etc and just slugged it out. Which made for a great fight, BTW.
