BIG difference between the Halmich and the Povetkin fight: the Halmich fight was only broadcasted in Germany, the Povetkin fight will be broadcasted around the world, among others in the USA. I don't think the judges will dare to screw Chambers because HBO will broadcast it. BTW: I don't think it will be a close fight.
Nothing new unfortunately in Germany, but on the other side, I have to praise the German people (99 %), they don´t say something like "Our homefighter won, it was a close fight which could have gone either way...", they´re also sick of this damn corrupt promoters...
You are very wrong! ZDF, the media and the 7.500 was clapping and covering this **** up:dead Not a single boxingperson or public figure looked a bit sickening or sceptical? Normaly you can see it in their eyes or bodylanguage, but they were all oh soo praud and happy...When does the Germans say stop? Look at the Germans in this tread: http://www.eastsideboxing.com/news.php?p=13480&more=1
Yeah, the fight- commentators/ press/ media, etc. is playing the propaganda pretty well, I know. But I meant real boxing fans, look, here on ESB posters like Tom_Tocca, Odo, etc. all agree with us, don´t worry...
The German fans parade for the Henry Maskerade. http://www.eastsideboxing.com/news.php?p=10439&more=1 :nut
It's still true. Germany gets a lot of attention because lots of high profile fights take place there right now. I mean come on 9 million viewers for a women fight? Where else on this planet would that happen? But if you watch the small shows on Eurosport from other European countries you notice that there are no more or less "robberies" than anywhere else but the point is because these are low profile fights no one cares about it.
All I'm saying is that there has been enough of a pattern that the judges should be neutral. I expect a good fight.
Lets look forward to Povetkin vs Chambers hopefully being an example of fairness in Germany:good They had 9 million viewer's on Halmich? WOW!!:think
Obviously you watched that fight event on German tv,didnt you! I for my part dont care a fig for women's boxing so that it doesnt really matter to me whether Halmich won fair and square or due to blatant robbery in open daylight. But...............I am bloody interested in your opinion on the undercard fights.I thought that that fight show would take place today instead of yesterday.Thats why I missed yesterday's fight event. Boytsov won by ko in the very first round! Can you give us a short report on his performance on yesterday's undercard of Halmich vs Shagas!
Sorry Odo i just came home in time to catch the Halmich scandal, and then i turned away when the Graf chick had to fight, have had it with German boxing for that night!!! However it wil be better on saturday when RTL show Mayweather-Hatton:happy just hope the commentator will better then that ZDF sob...
Read this funny ****: http://www.eastsideboxing.com/news.php?p=13498&more=1 "Finer, 23, did little for most of the fight, missing most of her wild punches, and the ones that she did land had little power on them because her poor form. Halmich, however, landed smooth combinations" "Halmich looked nothing short of sensational as she took Finer to school for the vast majority of the fight" Who is this jerk Ron Hansen? atsch
thanks for that information.. i didnt know that. the rtl commentators are much better than the zdf ones. i think, though, that at zdf (or was it ard?) they also have von der groeben running around at ringside. it's a joke that such a good commentator does not get to comment the fights but is used for pre and post fight interviews.
