Some of you act as though you don't understand what limit means. 147 is the welterweight limit. If you come in at 146 it only means you had only one pound that you could have gained. If the limit is 147 then 146 down to 141 is fine. Nothing over 147. This is not complicating folks.
no over acting, your not going to win an academy, this is just like spitting the mouth piece, your buying time esp. when the refs. tells you and address you about it, to keep on fighting. A point should be deducted in these situations.
15 rounds In case a draw a rematch is mandatory One champion per division not as much a rule as an attitude change in the mind of boxing fans.
One champion per division 12 rounders are okay mandatory defence every 4 months or forfeit your title to no1contender Weigh in same day.:smoke
I think this, mouthpiece-spitting and low blows should be more strictly enforced. Forget the warning business - if the ref thinks it's deliberate, take a point. If it happens again, dq. Used to be a low blow was a dq - anyone know when that changed? Obviously after the move was made to point scoring over round scoring. Was there a catalyst for it? BTW... the suggestion for a "sudden death" round in draws... as far as whacky off the wall ideas go, that's pretty intriguing.
Bad idea. Some of our best fights are volutaries. The mandatories are too political and often suck. I know what you're thinking, but in the ABC world, this can't work (hell, it'd eliminate unifications all together).
1 division title per weight class. I would cut the weight classes to may'be like 12 or 13 No "Catchweight fights" you have to fight within the division limit Judges have to announce what the scores are after every round The champ in a certain division has to fight within 6 months or they give the title to the next fighter. No vacant champs, every division will have a champion (It's annoying looking at Ring and there are like 12 divisions that have no champion) No more PPV, every fight has to be on cable (HBO, Showtime, CBS, ABC, etc.) I like the sudden death rule stated above, if the fight is a draw, one more round to break the draw.
Mouthguard bull****-- in any round if a boxer sustains a blow and his m/guard is dislodged or spat out,the fight must continue until the unprotected boxer shows that he is not under pressure from his apponent. only then will the referee call time for the guard to be replaced...:smoke this should apply to K/downs where the ref after checking the floored boxers condition should get them to resume fighting immediately after the count---
