Figuratively, I don't think this is far from the truth. It is obvious Wilder did not write it. It is also obvious it has been rehearsed (right down to the quasi African accent). However, I don't know if Wilder is capable of recognising that he is being used as a front by people who simply want to profit off him by pandering to what they see as the most fanatical part of his fan base. Funnily enough, I actually think that if Wilder is still capable of normal interaction with others, he would see that there is a large potential support base out there (Americans of all colours and shape, black people of all nationalities, boxing fans of all colours/creeds/nationalities who love big punchers, etc..). However, he and his team have gone for the lowest hanging fruit and instead missed the big prize.
What you just posted about what would have impressed you if wilder said... that would take a little class and not to mention brains. Something Wladimir Klitschko would have said. Not wilder.
