You really just said Paul Williams would be the "bigger" man against B-hop? That's just comical. Go comment on something you know about!
Yeah, PTP has an incredible metabolism. He had to do some serious eating for the Winky fight. He's tall, but damn, the boy is thin as hell. You look at him and think, damn he's really a boxer!
Hopkins when he rehydrated for Hopkins came in at what? 185 ish correct? Paul Williams if he had to rehydrate for Hopkins at 170 would come in at...174.
I can see how he could possibly rehydrate for a fight at 170, let-a-lone even weigh in at 170. :rasta
I like to rag on WWM and NBA over PW some, but I try to keep it to an honest opinion and fact as much as I can. The weight issue is why I really don't want to see him in the ring with Pavlik.
You mean for Pavlik? Bernard went up to 181. Pavlik went to 174 in that fight. If that's the one you meant.
Right against Calzaghe I think hopkins rehydrated up to 185-189. And I'm more or less poking fun at people who think just because he's tall and toothpick Starvin Marvin-esque thin that his frame fits weights like 168 and 175. Not happenin.
I want to see that fight, but not yet. He needs to grow into his body a bit more, which as he gets a little older will happen. I think for the next year or two at least, Paul should fight at 147 or 154. But he will fight whoever, so we might see it. Not that he can't have success at higher weights right now because he's skilled enough, but he really is a ways off from being a true MW. There are excellent fights at 147 or 154, but it sucks he can't get the top guys in the ring.
Not right now. I mean, yes he could take a fight there for just one big fight, but Paul is years from ever settling into those weights. It's surprising really, he looks like a damn stick figure, but he doesn't fight like one! I gotta laugh at the people that whine he's too "big" and should fight people his own "size", as in 160+!
I prefer to see Paul fight at WW while he can cut weight so easy, but seems he may have to settle for 154.
