Yeah the blokes a grade a moron. If you've got supposedly left wing views and you're consistently invited on right wing platforms it shows that you're seen as weak enough to further their agenda and undermine your own.

What'a even sadder is that the left then give him airtime too as he's a name. Absolutely ridiculous.

I did. He constantly looks like he's on the verge of ****ing tears. Pathetic. It's a real shame we don't have a stronger left wing voice. That seems to have died with the trade unions and why the left struggles to gain traction these days.

Imagine you're a hard up working class bloke from Middlesborough. Why the **** are you going to want to throw your lot in with the whining babies that dominate left wing politics? I'm left of centre in my views and I can't stand them either.

 

Left of centre here too. I've coined a phrase for people like Jones and what his views represent: Totalitarian Liberalism - 'we will tell you what to think, but it's only because we care'. BS. It's ironing out all the creases of difference to create a flatland of uber homogenised thinking which tramples all over alternate views and claims the moral high ground in being undemocratic - witness the new left's reaction to the Brexit vote: marches and legal challenges. Brexit and Trump were (crazy) reactions to the ideology which fuels people like Jones.

 

The legal thing has amused me if I'm honest as it shows such a basic lack of understanding from so many different people.

The judges haven't overruled Brexit, they've just confirmed parliament as sovereign and thus compelled to vote on the matter before they can push it through. All referendums are advisory to parliament. No more. Many remainers don't seem to understand that the court isn't striking down Brexit.

Likewise lots of leavers don't understand that the court isn't blocking Brexit it's just saying that the process for it to happen must involve a parliamentary vote. It's insane to me just how many brexiters who cited parliamentary sovereignty as one of their chief reasons to want to leave are now infuriated that this has turned out to be the case. Parliament is sovereign. Which is great. Unless they think it might vote against them in which case it's the worst thing ever. But they should stop moaning and let everyone else get on with it according to their own logic.
