Of course I'm using hindsight, what's more accurate than hindsight? What else are we meant to go on when talking about fighters from the past?

do you not realise the point I'm making? What if 5 years from now Ward has been knocked out twice, how much would that change this discussion?

Calzaghe was apparently no match for a prime Eubank or Benn, yet 15 years later you say that Calzaghe ended up being better than them, well that;s easy to say 15 years after the fact

It doesn't. I don't think a prime RJJ would lose to Ward simply because he's so crap now. No-one is using Benn's fights at the end of his career as proof of his limits (although even a prime Benn would very clearly lose to Collins).

if Benn was tanked and prepared for the fight, he'd KO Ward in at least 1 out of 3, but I see Ward outpointing Benn in the other two.

Ward wins the majority of the fights, becasue hes not only shown the skill to do it, but he has the mental consistency too, whereas Benn tended to be hit and miss throughout his career - sometimes terrific but other times getting shut out.

I'm talking about in relevance to Benns power and aggression.

we could go on all day and go deeper but lets just finish this.

I feel that Andre Ward is obviously the much better boxer than Benn, but Benn hit so hard that if he got Ward on the end of a sustained attack, I don't think Ward could handle it.

again, I quote myself "Ward would need to be at his absolute best every second of every round to beat Benn"

As an irishman I say prime Benn beats Collins, but I'm not adverse to anyone who says otherwise. but my money would beo n Benn

Oh right. In that case I see your point. But it hasn't happened yet, so your judgement assumes that it will.

My money is on Collins in a HUGE way.

Benn can't stop him or outwork him. So he'd have to outbox him or be significantly more accurate. I don't see him doing either.

I could actually see him outworking Collins, but again, its hypothetical, if Ward ended up UDing Benn easily, or Collins ended up UDing a prime Benn easily, I wouldnt be shocked, but my initial money would not be on those results

If he forces Collins onto the backfoot, he can do it. Collins could never fight on the retreat. As far as I remember, he struggled to force Wharton back for large periods of the fight, he struggle in a similar vein with Collins.

I don't take orders, I give them, and you're trolling claiming that Bika could beat Benn LOL. What better American fighterS? they all ducked Eubank and Benn, except G-man, and we saw what happened there:patsch

So? calzaghe wouldn't lose a round to someone like Ward, so this point is void.

There is a fact here, Bika nearly beat Ward in Wards back yard, and Ward has **** power, and a paper wet tissue chin, that's why he only ever fights slow one dimensional sluggers and midgets.

Benn would never lose to Boone, which a lot of people think Ward lost to. So all this malinga talk is nullified by that alone, Malinga would kill Boone.

Benn lost to Malinga. Ward never lost a fight yet. Undefeated.
