Pretty good matchup though I'd have to wager my money on the American chap. Just too skilled, too fluid, too much in the tank...just so long as he could keep his chin tucked in...
It would be a slow death for Benn...death by a thousand paoercut type deal

The problem with Jackson was his chin.
He was boxing Davey Moore's ears off and Moore landed a righthand and dropped him.
He was boxing Trice easily and Trice landed a right hand and dropped him.
It would be a very competitive fight but Benn would find that chin.

Benn would knock him out. John David Jackson was never that good. He wasn't even the best middleweight named Jackson in the early 90s. His win over Reggie Johnson was questionable, and, he literally beat almost no other elite fighters who were anywhere close to prime. He lost to Jorge Castro by knockout, and, lost the rematch, as well. I like Castro, but, he had plenty of limitations. When the going got tough for John David Jackson, he folded. If he had fought more good fighters, he would have ended up with many more losses.

John David Jackson was a very good boxer and beat alot of people.
Not many people really wanted to face him.
Was one of the few to actually stop Lupe Aquino.
    And he stopped Steve Little.
Both of those two were or were to become champions.
Went over seas and gave Pyatt a boxing lesson.
Also beat Trice and Moore as well.
The Reggie Johnson fight was close but not controversial.
The problem with John is nobody really wanted to face a fast slick southpaw- you never heard his name mentioned in match ups ever.

That's just simply wrong JDJ was a very good fighter there was nothing questionable about his win over Reggie Johnson, he won close but clear IMO, he schooled Chris Pyatt who granted was nothing special but a future world champion none the less and former world champs Davey Moore and Lupe Aquino He was just in that "who needs me club"
