Benn was a pretty good boxer when coming forward at MW. But his style was about getting into mid-range and inside for hooks, uppercuts, etc. I certainly see him as a better boxer than Trinidad, easily. Not just at middleweight, but any stage in Trinidad's career. Benn was a fighter who boxed his way into range, although not with enough lateral movement to outbox and outscore someone like Jackson. He wasn't defensively minded enough to accomplish that IMO.
